**Official 3D Mark 11 scores**

I know you have only just got the mobo but have you tried resetting to the defaults in the Bios with just the SSD connected.

I did reset the bios and I did have a play with the SSD/HDD's but I think I was so fed up after getting everything all set up nice, I couldn't be bothered to mess about too much. I will go down to 1 SSD and 1 HDD tomorrow after work and see if that helps.

Anyways, a quick play on my LTG's and pleased with the first oc.

Plenty more in the tank ;)

Once you sort the CPU ocing that will allow you GPUs to score another 500 points on the graphics plus what you can get out of the cards themselves.

The other thing that springs to mind is 3dmark11 scales very well with multi GPUs have you thought about a third lightning.:D

Haha I would love to buy another but the 2 I have are plenty :) I will have a play with overclocking after work. 1 SSD only and see how that goes. If need be, I will put my other drives on a network.

Looking good gregster ;)

Cheers bud and this one looks even better :)

What memory are you running. If you can tune it then its a good 24/7 freebee with a hex core and good for a few hundred more points in 3dmark11.

Memory is clocked at 2433. It is https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-018-AR Which is sweet as. Well worth the money :)

You will not be able to go much higher on the speed but 8 Pack may be able to help with the timings. I run mine at 2400mhz with 9-11-11-25 1T tRFC 96 and also very tight 2nds and 3rds which is a lot better than the XMP setup. For normal use it does not make much difference but in 3dmark11 and other benchmarks its a nice bonus.

Edit Thats a cracking score for 2 GPUs :D

Cheers. I tried for the magic 5.0 but even with 1.550V it wouldn't have it. 4.825 seems to be the highest I can get without going too deep. I have gone back to 4.625 on 1.35V. My temps at 4.825 were never over 55C, which is a shame but I am very happy with the chip.

I stayed away from the XMP and put my own timings in. Maybe this is why I couldn't go higher but I am not ssuch a fan of XMP.

Checked to see if its removed your BF3 bottleneck?

For 5ghz did you just push the multiplier and vcore and nothing else? I found increasing power limits and all sorts of other stuff helped me get my speed up, I could probably push towards 5.3ghz but my insane amount of vdroop is stopping me.

I am not 100% on X79 boards and it is very different to Sandy clocking. I will get it higher but will be swatting up more before I attempt any higher.

Your using the 125 strap by the look of it. Lots of people say its better than the 100 strap for ocing. I find on mine 100 works better @5.0ghz.

When going for 5.0ghz it may help a bit to slacken the memory timings a bit. With mine it will do 5.0ghz easy with loose memory timmings and with very tight timings 4.9ghz easy but going for 5.0ghz with tight timings some days it does and some days not.

I do have the memory set tight and yep I am on the 125 strap. This was the easiest way to OC for me.

Thanks James.

Those lighnings seriously are sweet. I had to flash my new one as the BIOS it comes with has a block on over volting, so I flashed it to the original LTG BIOS and I got artifacts all over the place  I switched it to the standard BIOS and found out it needs to be flashed to a v3 style BIOS and all good now...Phew.

Nice scores Gregster. That puts you top top top :P

Cheers :) I will leave mine where it is and not edit the top scores. I just wanted to know I could beat them all :p

Very nice jumps in scores. Made a big difference getting that 3770K clocked up.
