**Official 3DMark 'Fire Strike' Leaderboard**

IMHO...

I reserved a slot for which I may well just do GPU scores and ignore what CPU is in the machine. As we are on a GPU forum, I feel this would be a good thing. Any thoughts on this guys?

Yeah, i don't see why not.

Another suggestion was linking to the post that people have put their score in but I feel it is quite a pain adding a link to the 3dmark score, and adding another link will seriously make it hard work for me. I don't mind doing this and again, let me know what you guys think.

Information overkill anyway, with the score info and a link to the result page there really is no need for a link to the post, its just clutter :)

As for custom coolers, I can't see much point when so many cards come with decent custom coolers already. If people want to lie about what cooling they are using, that is their choice (and I don't see why they would).

Yeah, its pretty obvious that some of us are going to be using exotic cooling, who is using what is neither here nor there.

Use Fire Strike for all GPU's
Use cloud gate for a mid range cards (maximum of a 660TI/7870 (non XT)
Use Ice storm for older gen cards (580/6970)

My question would be, why? i don't see the benefit or point in dividing up GPU's into a tier category, they should all just be judged on their merits as equals.
They are all DX11 capable GPU's :)

Or am i missing the point?

This is what i meant.

After market coolers you have specifically paid for to cool your gpu such as the Accelero/Accelero Hybrid/Peter etc. I for one would be interested to see what scores, if any, are made using such coolers. It doesn't have to be a requirement but if someone adds such detail to the post i can't see why it should be excluded. I agree though it would be pointless to post details on stock coolers.

i'd place a bet that my laptop could do worse.

although i'm not going to embarrass myself by sharing the score :)

EDIT: oh wow, it wouldn't even run Fire strike :(

A close to 8% improvement over base on 10% higher clocks. Looks like I can at least lay claim to a spot in the top 10 for now :)
