This is the firestrike bench, not the 3dmark11 one.:D:eek::D
 
Just how CPU dependant is Firestrike? it seems that a lot of the disparity in the leaderboard is due to the 3930k/4770k chips pulling away from the 2500k/3570k and also the 7970's mixing it up with the 780's and Titans. I for some reason expected to have a higher score with my setup.

Well i have an overall score of 9,393 but my graphics score is higher than yours which means with a faster processor I would probably be scoring close to 10k.

So it makes a bit of a difference but not a huge amount.

Going from 3.0ghz to an overclock of 4.0ghz only results in an extra 4% on my score which means even a 290x is a bottleneck to a certain degree in this benchmark.

Definitely not worth upgrading to new cpu/motherboard just for a 5-8% difference in overall score.

It's no difference you would notice whilst gaming.
