**Official 3DMark 'Fire Strike' Leaderboard**

Try running 1325/7500 this will give you a lot more than 8000

This bench also does not like it if you go to high on the mem volts.

I used the above setting and got 8736 but I should do better once my system has had a chance to get cool. Watercooling on the cards seems to help a lot on this benchmark.

Will do :)

So for some reason this is the best I can do at the moment.

Air cooled Reference, Clocks at 1202 ( although it shows 1005 in Futuremark?! ) CPU @ 4.5

Gfx Score 13882

Physics Score 11859

Combined 4116

Total 10992

Do you not think we should mention what drivers we're using, I'm using 313.95

No idea why my 480 running as fast as a 580 can't beat a 560ti? Oh well... :)

Nice to see a couple of laptops and happy to add a seperate section if we get a few more :)

Edit:

I will bring my lappy home from work that I use for gaming and give that a blast :)

Should be interesting.

I was amazed that the little Inspiron could even run the bench !

What I don't understand is why a 7950 with lower clocks gets a much higher score than my 7970 at higher clocks ? (same CPU at same OC)
PeterNem gets this

WTH ?

IMHO I think the rankings should be done on GFX Score rather than overall.

ATM you have people with waaaay better GPU scores low down the table due to poor CPU scores dragging them down.

e.g.

6058. GFX Score 8542. 7970. Air cooled. Physics Score 4581. CPU FX-4100 @ 4.4 Air cooled - UKSoldierboy
5935. GFX Score 6599. 660TI. Air cooled. Physics Score 9612. CPU 3570K @ 5.0 Air cooled - Imginy

UKSoldierboy's GPU is obviously far better than Imginy's, but because his CPU is poor his 7970 is being ranked very low on the overall score.

It'd be better to have separate GPU table and CPU (physics) tables. You'd get a better more accurate split between GPU's and CPU's then.

Just my 2p

But thats the way its always been done. I think greg said he was going to add a gpu scores only chart shortly.

I agree with your 2p:D, would be nice to see myself in the top 25 for a change lol.

Indeed it has, I just don't think the overall score shows you a lot. Yes it's a 'system' score, but peoples systems are that varied, it doesn't mean much. You've got 680's lower than 670's, 7970's slower than 7950's etc.

If you're going to highlight the GPU in use for the score I just think the GFX score would be the better one to look at and would give you a meaningful GPU hierarchy with regards to the test.

*shrug*

Saying that however, I've just slapped the figures in a table, and the ATi cards are spread as you'd expect them to be. But the nVidia's are all over the place. Straxusii seems to have the worlds worst 680...

So maybe it's not worth reshuffling after all :D

Harsh but fair :D

I think the real measure is the physics score though, don't worry about these GPU scores they mean nothing!

(Oh look my physics score is 15k :D )
