**Official 3DMark 'Fire Strike' Leaderboard**

Why does that not surprise me. :p

Early predictions, will it beat your old titan?

Hard to say but water and a custom BIOS will give me a rough idea. I am too busy to put my block on it at the moment and will have to be done between Chrimbo and New Year, so will see what it can do then.

I will just enjoy some games in my free time for now :)

67.9 Asic and the other was 71%, so bugger all in it.

Scores added chaps and nice one :)

Jolly good, now what can I do to increase it ?!

A couple of things that help to improve scores are:

  • Make sure you are running as few processes as possible
  • turn off things like Steam - Origin - Uplay
  • Turn off the internet
  • Disable Aero

Those basic things can give some small increases to scores and other than pushing the clocks to the max of the card, not much else you can do. More volts and water will obviously help but they come with risks.

I've never bothered turning off the internet or disabling steam as my 3dmark is through steam. :p

You start 3DMark up and then turn off steam I believe. I have mine on steam also but a seperate one for desktop, so no need for steam to be on.

Do the run, re-enable the internet to validate the score with the link. Every little helps :)

Yeah might be worth a shot. I didn't think you could exit steam with a game/app running but ill give it a go.

Another thing to do is a clean install. Every time I have done this, the gains have been good. Not sure if it is because of all the bloat ware we end up having but it deffo improves the scores. A tad extreme but handy for anytime we do a fresh install.

I used to go into task manager and turn off everything i didn't need :D
Only really helps with the physics tests though to be fair, never tried pulling the cable for the net mind....surely it isn't worth much?

Not sure also but it is something I have done when proper going for it, as I don't want anything like a windows update kicking in or AV updates. It just stops those kind of potential drains on the hardware.
