What are the safe voltages on these 780's? And are people going to more than 106% on afterburner?

It is all card dependant. If you are water cooled, 1.35V should be no problem but if you are on air with a bog standard reference card, I wouldn't want to use any more voltage than the default.

The 106% really comes into effect when you start to push the cards. With custom BIOS's, you can have some good voltages with a good TDP limit.

Whos doing the custom BIOS'? LTMatt sorted out my 7950 :D

A nice guy called Skyn3t :D

Have a read up and better to get acquainted with it prior to going under water and that way, you will understand more of what you are doing :)

Read my "How to over volt a Titan or 780" link at the bottom of my sig. It is a little outdated but when you do it, I will point you in the right direction.

Well like before, I think firestrike runs at native res, my native res is not 1080. So maybe a little guidance in the first post should say explicitly 1080p.

My apologies for this thread being misleading and I will add that the test should be done at 1080P. I have both a 1440P monitor and a 1080P monitor and only ever noticed it runs at 1080P but better to have clarification :)

All scores updated (I think). It was hard to find them amongst all the petty squabbling.

That awkward moment a £300 gpu beats a £800 gpu.

It was £820 (ish) and a great score for a 290. :)

Well done Ranger and I for one love benching and giving it the max. Who cares about 24/7 clocks in a benching thread? :p

@ Matt, that is the second time your result has come back with CPU information missing... Something up with your system? (not seen that before).

I think this is the max for my card, maybe another 5-20mhz on the core and a TINY BIT more on the RAM.

But i wont bother with that unless someone beats me :D

And again; thanks!

You are safe from me. I shan't be giving this Titan a kicking like I did my other one but who knows what the future holds :D

290s are very underestimated, but they need waterblocks to fly. Just like 7970s :D

It is the VRM's on the Titans that are pants. Very poor and don't like high voltages. I hurt my 680's with volts and they lapped it up but Titans are big girls blouses :D

If i still had my 3930k and chiller i'd probably shell out for 3 or 4 290s for suicide runs just to beat your score. Lost interest in benching :) (a while ago)

lol

I have lost interest also. I have a few scores to use on the bot but just can't be bothered. Enjoying Truck Simulator 2 too much me thinks :D

I've not made an entry on HWBot in nearly 200 days :(
Could easily get my #1 position back if i cared enough, just nice being back on ambient cooling though :D

Also being on ambient cooling i'm a little wary in doing big overclocks, my temps always seem so god damn high!!

I've sold nearly everything i had, when i say i've lost interest in benching i mean it :)
My rig pretty much runs stock except the overclock on the CPU (tiny)

I hear that. My Titan on air is hitting 75C when gaming but with water, it never went over 50c :( One more day at work and I will put my water block on next week :)

I think something is up with 3dmark as it reports my cards as HIS when they're VTX. THe only other thing i can think of is im doing a diagnostic startup when i bench. That is loading basic devices and services only. I make sure futuremark system info starts though so i can validate the score when i restart my pc.

Sounds about right. I had no questions about your scores and was just making sure everything was ok your end :)

Added Kaktus and nice score... Tough crowd to beat to get into the top 10 :)

Matt, don't take this the wrong way but 14 points? Seriously....:o

14 points is 14 points Greg. I'm very proud of my score at stock and am not far off heavily clocked 780's and titans. Once i grow a pair ill start overclocking. :D

If you was vying for the top 10 places, fair play but you are miles off the next position. I will add it though, as it makes no odds to me :D
