**Official 3DMark 'Fire Strike' Leaderboard**

I'm thinking the same thing, Nickolp1974. ;)

I have a new score to add, please.

You are my closest rival, i ask you in the sake of keeping my graphics card alive please do not beat my score. Settle for 3rd. :p

I will have to settle for 2nd at this point, unless WhyScotty tops my score again. I will be running it one last time when the new memory does arrive, I don't think even the new memory will allow me a further 100+ points.

It has been great fun last few days, Matt. Chances are you will remain first, and both our graphics cards can breath a sigh of relief. :)

Well. It seems it was a driver issue indeed.

new score

Ignore above score

I am getting black flashes at points with the core this high, no matter how much voltage i give it.
So i have a feeling 1200 on the core will be the best for gameing.

And again :P

I think the memory is showing issues at this speed, red checkers appearing for split seconds and then going. The bench doesn't crash so its all good ;)

15th in the world on the bot! Some mega scores on there but quite a few using modified tessellation, @matt you'd be 12th, do the tesselation thing and it could be a close run for 2nd for ya, your spec is ver close to this guy http://hwbot.org/submission/2354283_pacan4ek_3dmark___fire_strike_radeon_hd_7970_10070_marks

How do ya modify it?

Whats the tessellation thing? If it means disabling it in CCC then ill pass, that's cheating.

I think Scotty has taken early retirement. He's pushed his cards as far as they will go and only a new driver can improve his score. I think im pretty much at that stage now as well.

Who would have thought it hey? All this lightning this, matrix platinum that and the two fastest graphics card on ocuk and the world are two reference 7970 that can be bought for £299. Amen.

GG Proto, lets ensure we stay 1st and 2nd. Any intruders must be dealt with. (excluding Scotty) :D

+1

Its not worth doing it if you can not do it fair and square.

Im finding it quite amusing myself, but I have learned a bit about graphics cards in the last few days. It will be interesting to see how a Matrix Platinum goes with water blocks.

It would also be interesting to see how a Lightning or Matrix performs in the same machine as a ref 7970 (running them both @1200/1800) to see if there is any difference in performance. If there is the review sites have got a lot of explaining to do.

Neil could you please do a run using the following settings and post the results.

CPU 4.0ghz 40x100
Memory @1600mhz
GPU 1200mhz
Vram 1800mhz

I will do the same as it will be interesting to see how Ref and Non Ref HD 7970s perform using the same settings.
