**Official 3DMark 'Fire Strike' Leaderboard**

Heres mine

Score 7950
Graphics 8850
Physics 14391
Combined 3267

http://www.3dmark.com/fs/108870

I am going to try reducing the volts to see if that makes a difference

That's actually a very good score for a 7950, I get a GFX score of 8553 with clocks at 1200/1700 and from my long stupid ass testing (free version) I found 100 on the GPU clocks gives me 600 GFX marks while 100 on the Mem clock gives me 130 GFX marks.

(Sadly I did a fresh rebuild yesterday and forgot to back up my data from each of my tests runs 1000/1700, 1100/1700, 1200/1700 and memory clocks at 1200/1500, 1200/1600, 1200/1700 thats almost almost two hours of testing lost...)

So 1200/1800 would net me a GFX score of around 8680+/-

**EDIT** Damn mobile screen didn't notice is was Kaapstad and hence not a 7950 score, sorry :(

His cards a 7970 ;)

Well going to back to my post it appears I have used the wrong figure on 1200/1700 GFX score it wasn't 8553 that was my physics score, it was actually 8658 which means the extra 100 Mem Kaapstad has would brings my total to, 8658+130 = 8788

So yeah his score of 8850 is off for 7970, considering a 7950 needs around 80+ on the core to match a 7970, if both running identical clocks then the 7970 would be roughly 450-500+ GFX in front, which Whyscotty clearly is

1200/1700 link: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/13002 GFX score of 8658

Cat 13.2b3/4? Driver settings on stock (only change is triple buffer for Opengl and gamma/saturation tweaks)

As long as im in the top 10 im happy ;D

My 7970 has real issues above 1200/1700 so i will leave my high score as the last one i added.... for now

Have you altered your blck and pci-e scews ?

No I have been using 100 strap 100 bclk. I did try the 125 strap with 129 bclk a while ago but it made no difference so I went back to the 100 strap.

I have just tried lowering the volts - got down to 1.188v before I ran out of adjustment (Had to set LLC to min to do it, I know it should work the other way round).

The performance figures remained more or less the same doing the above, the best was a score of 8020 with most of the other runs I did hitting just over 8000.

I think the ref and non ref cards must work differently either that or watercooling makes a big difference on this bench.

I noticed this when I had your Matrix that for some reason they performed
differently

Not blck itself the skews.

Blck skew is just above vcore and pci-e skew is inside CPU tweakers

Does it make a difference adjusting the skew if it does which one and how much should I adjust.

Thanks

It varies depending what I'm doing.

-1 and -10
-2 and -20
-3 and -30

I use -2 and -20 for 24/7, it was something 8Pack told me about when I first went Tri Sli.

You can mix and match to see what works best for your set up :)

Does the above improve performance or stability

Thanks

One of the best things I did in a long time was getting the HD 7970s. Its a lot more interesting using them on benches like this where other people are using similar setups. When NV get the drivers sorted for multi GPUs I will probably run my 690s a couple of times and that will be it (very boring). I have had a lot more fun using my 7970s in the last few months.

My submission.

PC was fairly comfy doing this bench, board still broke and only giving me triple channels.

Think iv put you off 6th with that score gregster :D

Nice one :)

Nice one man! :)

Haven't try this new Fire Strike yet. New Mobo on my floor in the box and new GPU coming monday. Been sick for a week. Need to get testing oc to get on the board. Not 100% yet, Still a bit stuffed with all the flu and green crap coming out of every orifice.. Yuck!

Need to get better asap.
