I'm a little concerned my card is running too hot, so much so I even changed all my components into another case today for what seems like no change at all.

It's alright if my games are limited by V-sync at 60 FPS as the card is obviously not always pushing it's limits and will peak at about 55 to 70 Celsius, but in games where the GPU has to work hard I've seen temps as high as 87 Celsius in Sleeping Dogs!

My original case is a Corsair 200R, which had fans at the front, bottom, rear and top... Changed it all into a Zalman Z9+ with similar fan layout and temps peeked at 83 Celsius in the same game Sleeping Dogs.

Can any of you give me some comparisons to your cards on games where your GPU is being worked to it's max (not where your FPS is capped)? Never had a card run this hot before in any of my previous cases.

Do you have your card overclocked or standard? I put my card to standard on BIOS 2 and I only got temps of 71 Celsius... Only with the 1050/1400 BIOS 1 that I flashed it goes over 80 Celsius when it's getting maximum usage.

The stock bios should be 925/1250 at 1.25v.

Are you talking about the bios i uploaded which is 1000/1400 or did you flash some other bios that we don't know about?

Finally are you saying this first bios heats up the gpu more than the second bios at identical clocks?

Stock boost BIOS runs at about 70 odd Celsius when the card is being maxed out, when using the 1050/1400 BIOS which uses 1.18v from IC3's thread about flashing boost cards it tops out at 83 Celsius currently... I'm open to flashing any other BIOS if it helps.

If I put fan speed on 90% (pretty loud) it drops down to 75 Celsius, but that still high and annoying sound wise.

WHat bios and clocks used on stock voltage, stock?

Do you mean the stock backup BIOS I used? As far as I know it uses what I think is 925 boost, with memory at 1250 with 1.25v like the original BIOS 1?

It can't be my case cooling, never had this issue before with any other card. I can't play games with all my fans on high/max will do my head in! :D

It's overclocked to 1100/1400 and flashed with the BIOS in this thread

Valley or Heaven? Gonna have a try with that under volt business myself... Feel like I've got a real dud card though... :( Jesus... Just hit 93 Celsius in Sleeping Dogs...WTF... :O I'm wondering if my cooler isn't seated correctly, I will have to send the card back at this rate.

I flashed my card back to the stock boost BIOS, and monitored it with Afterburner to make sure it was correct speeds (which it was 925/1250) and it still hit 87 Celsius and was creeping upwards... I'm not sure what to do? These stupidly high temps are probably why the sticker peeled itself off in my case! Quite annoyed at the amount of messing about I've done to make this card work correctly... Stupid boost thing is temperamental, cooler on my card is beyond rubbish, just regretting buying it in general I can't play any demanding game without it getting scorching hot...
