**Official** Aion RELEASE Thread

That particular store has been bought up by another store with a very similar name that usually always dispatches a day or two before release to guarantee release day arrival (unless RM strike action gets in the way). What this means is that the store you bought it from gets their online orders sent from the same warehouses etc meaning dispatch and arrival will be just as early as the parent company :)

thanks for the info :D looks like thursday it is then

We can't change servers, some players are in their 20s. All servers have a queue unless it is one we don't want ot be on.

I am really enjoying the game, missed out on l16 this evening for new skills but hopefuily tomorrow.

All server have no queue at the time of posting but that beats Spatalos with 2800ish earlier this afternoon, although it may have been higher before I joined the queue.

What would be nice is if they disabled the background music whilst queuing when I have alt-tabbed back to windows. I'd like to be able to listen to some music, watch a movie or do anything else sound related on the pc but I can't because the Aion music keeps pumping away :(

you could still change servers if the queues are annoying. I mean ok, some people are in their 20s, but you are still only talking about 2 days of play. When you consider that a player plays a decent mmo for years, 2 days in the long run is nothing.

Up to the individual of course and just how much annoyance they feel the queue is causing.

Ultimately of course, dont get me wrong, it doesnt particularly matter to me which server people are on. I am just trying to help everyone to get the most enjoyment possible out of the game. If a person is ok with sitting in their queue for now, thats fine. I have nothing to gain or lose by it because im busy happily playing on my server. Just like to help everyone enjoy actually playing the game.

Yeah it's fine mate, good suggestion just quite a few wanted to wait it out and see.

I am quite happy as server caps were raised last night and supposedly they will be raised at some point again.

It is only 2 days, but 2 pretty intense days, in the future I will likely play less intensly.

I know you are only trying to help, i just feel we will end up splitting up the guild and both parts will be weak and fail.

At the same time while it has only been 2 days you can argue that in a few more days the queing will be all over.

You say you don't want people who wont change server in your guild. I don't want people that can't wait in a queue in my guild.

I am logging into Aion now via logmein.com from work to sell some items. ;)

hopefully no queue for me. suggest everyone who can does the same.

I just think changing server will kill the guild. people will leave, me included. If we can't even decide which server to play on it doesn't inspire much support from leadership.

Hope they do - some servers are seeing very long queues at peak times and a lot of people are very unhappy, unless you are on Tele and you can get on straight away :D:D:D:D:D

3/4 of my legion have been pvping already and we have quite a few kills now and a good rating.

Anyone here on Telemachus Asmodian who wants to be friends :)

Yup server caps were raised and they have also now said that they will add a new server for full release

Oooo have you got anymore details on this? i.e. when the new cap was introduced?

I presume they are hopeing the majourity of people playing this week will be out of the newbie zones by full release and should help with a bit of the load?

I agree entirely, I guess the gist of what I've been saying is that things arent as bad as they might seem :)

Sure thing...here you go..

"At NCsoft our commitment is to making the MMO player experience the best it can be. And while Aion has seen a very successful launch that has exceeded our expectations in many ways, we are aware of the longer than usual queue times that players have experienced on some of the servers. This is due to the initial rush of players that we've seen in the early days of the game's launch in Europe and North America.

Since the opening of Head Start this past weekend, we've have been heavily focused on striking the delicate balance between managing busy servers with queue times versus overcompensating by adding new servers too quickly that are then underpopulated and don't deliver a fun experience for players. We did indeed see an initial rush on the first days of Head Start which resulted in longer than desired queue times for some of our servers, and we are working around the clock to alleviate this. In fact, we are happy to confirm we have increased our server caps and are adding an additional server in both North America and Europe by this weekend, and we will continue to evaluate adding additional servers.

We continue to monitor issues closely and strive to address player feedback quickly to ensure the best possible experience."

Translation - we saw what happened with WAR and we're buggered if you lot are going to pressure us into making the same mistake ;)

i play the US server altho i live in the UK , when ever i go to log in normally no que and get stright in np but this prob due to US people sleeping / not active much at that time . But the US guild i am in is allways active when i am online so its all good

This Aion thingy looks interesting but I did not read anything about it, are there any good resources where I can read about classes etc..?

Finding leveling ridiculously slow as a ranger atm, only level 13. Takes so long to kill anything even with jump shot ><.
