Yes you can invert.

Thanks Tomb, I think I will give this game a miss until there is a free trial.

If you mean a different server, you have to re-join the queue after you leave it.

No, servers have varying degrees of population. Obviously the more heavily populated servers will have much larger queues. You pays your money and takes your chances so they say.

Long term advantage (in theory) of being on the heaviest populated servers is sustained population after the free 30 days and people leaving, short term disadvantage is huge queues until then.

Glad I decided to give it a miss for launch ;p

I remember the queue lengths for WAR bugged the hell out of me when it was launched!

just think its a joke they have accepted all these preorders and obviously they know how much people server can hold and still have done nothing to try create more servers or possible run each realm in like 3 places and redirect people just to spread the population out at least at the start

I have been in the queue for an hour and a half. While it is annoying some people will quit and we don't want empty servers either.

Exactly...if it was as easy as all that then WAR and more importantly WoW wouldnt have had queues. Blizzard are pretty reknowned for their polish and adeptness at game creation, yet even they had queues.

What would help a little is if huge numbers of players didnt all pick to go on the same server. Yet it happens at almost every major MMO launch, one server becomes "the" one to be on...thousands upon thousands pile onto that server, neglecting the others to a degree and then complain that they cant get on.

Frustrating for the player it is, but me...if I see a full bus, I tend to wait for the next one rather than squeezing on and then complaining because I cant sit down :)

I'm currently 2435/2969 on Spat... I'm glad I decided to join the queue while my better half was making tea.

Be lucky to get to play for a hour before bed at this rate.

im just about to roll a new asmo on Telemachus , theres no wait to get on that server .... i dont mind a queue now and then but hrs everytime is annoying!

Surely it would be better if they just merged/clustered all the servers into 1 persistant one, maybe with more channels?

I wonder how games like eve handle it.

I'm guessing that it helps that the vast majority of what is needed to move around on the screen in large scale PvP is space (ie. black with dots) rather than terrain.

Although I dont mind the channels for the starter area, I most certainly wouldnt want them right through the game, that would seriously dent my interest. I dont mind it the way it is as its just the starter area, but I'm happy that it becomes just one after that.
