My ducting system turned out to be a turd. It was keeping the room ambient stable, but at the cost of bottle necking the radiator that it was covering so upping the temps of the GPU's

Same here, both my cards are the same. The 1st after a few days mining the whine went and the 2nd is going now as well

Loving all the new 290(x) and 780(ti) owners out there bigin it up when they could have had nearly double the performance with a 7990 single card solution for the same price
Gotta love how the 7990 is missing from a lot of the performance reviews as well, but they throw in SLI for Titans and others for comparison.

The card on full tilt 100% on both GPU's will take 400 - 440w depending on various things. Measured by CorsairLink and a wall plug meter on my system.
pennies more a day in the grand scheme of things.
Needed to quote that. So many people forget the bang for buck this card has.
Going on about 280/290(x) 780(ti) etc for 100's more to get the equivalent, noise, and power from SLI / CF of these cards just to touch the power of the 7990.hehehehe

Shame it didn't work and only log jammed the radiator so it couldn't remove the heat properly and in the end made my room cooler, but the GPU's hotter.
I would need a proper shaped and fanned duct on the top probably the size of an elephant shaped like a sail

They do / did sell 7990 with water blocks. If you buy it like that from OCUK they will honour the warranty as they did it.
mmm, dunno, I got a nzxt Switch 810 case and house a 360 + 240 in it and no room for more. MiniATX, going to be fun.

If you are interested in 7990 cards, then you really should not be thinking small cases unless you really know what you are doing.
Those looking to do 2 x 7990, I would not do it in one case unless you plan to water cool and have a good beefy power supply such as a 1200w +
Put a waterblock on my 7990 last night ... was soooooo good to be able to touch the backplate and not feel it be as hot as it used to be
Sweet, swear blind my 2x7990 could warm Iceland up with the heat thee radiators kick out under water
LOL, I am loving the 2x7990 on water at the moment. Both windows open in my office and the temp is still a barmy 10 degrees during the dead of night with the cold weather we are having.
