***official amd 83x0 overclocking thread***

And use some punctuation!
lol, i type way to fast.

hopefully the will perform good, i also want to put board under water too. but amd dont see to have water blocks like intel boards do.

i would water cool this one but i cant find blocks for it, i doubt they do them

Gah! I failed the BF3 test tonight, BSOD about 4 times in total, 3 of them at the same point in Exfiltration on Co-Op with a mate, so annoying. Dropped clocks back to 4.7, then 4.6, then 4.5, notched the GPU clocks down a bit, temps were all fine then realised . . RAM.

Have taken RAM back to 1300Mhz and no BSOD since but only played for half hour or so and run out of hours so will have to test again with RAM lowered and clocks back up to be sure that's the case though. God knows why this RAM is letting me down so much, I'm only running at the speed it was supposedly meant to be!

So it works at 4.8GHz with the RAM set to 1333MHz? Are you increasing the FSB to overclock?

You could try loosening your timings if you're only changing the multiplier, change it to 1600MHz but 10 10 10 27 2T and see if that works. Also try increasing the memory voltage to 1.65v.

By-product over the autumn/winter is some heating. Lets you save for a number of weeks in preparation for the seven days of summer we get!! :D

add me up i have no m8's who play bf3 rubberducky86

before you laugh i have a slight obsession with hitman lol

Haven't tested that yet mate, still on 4.5 at the moment, was playing with a friend and didn't want to keep dropping out all the time. Will test at 4.8 and 1333Mhz tomorrow hopefully. Ram is already on 9-10-9-27-2T

Just multi clock at the moment

Yes, those timings might be too good (in this case higher numbers are worse). 10 10 10 27 might be fine, especially at 1.65v.

They were already loosened, it was 9-9-9-24-1T out the box. Didn't give me any hassle on the last build

so i couldn't sleep after these results! there poor something is wrong here guys so low on results.

everything is maxed out on graphics apart fom motion blur is off, and v-sync is on

do you agree its a bad overclock causing this or something else perhaps.

and if its overclock what you think could be causing it?

i got no lag or throttle back at all, i ran in windowed mode so i could watch temps and cpu-z for throttle.

im mythed here oc seams stable on aida64 for hrs, played battlefield no probs for couple hrs no lag ect

HELP! lol
