@ Tommy, i found a way to record BF4 Mantle using AMD's VCE in OBS.

i will make a write up on it when i have time.
 
Sorry guys but mantle is completely and utterly useless, waste of time just like what people on this forum say.

Exact same run that shankly and greg etc. have done on siege of shanghai (empty server with a ping of 23)

Settings - everything on low/off except mesh (set to ultra), 150% res scale, 2560x1080 res. FOV set to 80.

It really is amazing the difference, if only I could show the difference in how the game feels with regards to just sheer smoothness.

Still don't know why the minimum FPS for mantle are lower than DX though as I didn't see the FPS drop anywhere near that during my run :confused:

It is a shame some of the bigger games won't have mantle support i.e. GTA 5, I think mantle would be a huge benefit in that game for my rig.

Great results, Rocksteady:o Rockstar are on the list of devs playing about on beta Mantle afaik, might not mean GTA 5 is going to support Mantle but it is a possibility.

GTA5 I really hope it does... The good news is that remember the GTA5.exe in AMD drivers ?? :D how long as that been in there for well before even a PC release confirmed...


Why would the, GTA5.exe be in there? are they testing Mantle with GTA5?

It is good to see AMD users so appreciative of mantle and I feel that a number of people on this forum really down play just how good/important it is especially when weaker CPU's come into play. It has saved me from spending £250+ so far!

It would be amazing if crysis 3/cryengine got updated to support mantle, would love to see DX VS mantle comparisons :cool:
