*** Official AMD Phenom II X6 1055T & 1090T Overclocking Thread ***

haha well mines already had its 8 hours prime :p

still have to wonder if there is a beneift of 3Ghz NB .. adds a little in cinebench but will it show in real life

I cant explain the difference in TMPIN2 ... maybe I have a dodgy board or sensor .. even running at the same volts (unstable) my T2 is still higher

couldnt be the power circuitry ? as im pumping air in near it with the H50

oh blow it I give up guessing and will wait for smoke signals or burning smells :D

temps are droppinbg off a little as evening cools but no other clues

Not the cpu temp casuing my throttling, but pwm, I had stated in the thread earlier that they were getting really warm and had sinked them, as I had the board on the bench I had also a fan blowing directly onto the area. Now in the case I just had them passive cooled, just stuck 2x60mm fans on them and now no throttling as you can see.

Just seen mine start doing this when running 4GHz. At 3.9 it's fine, but apparently the extra strain and 0.025V pushes them over the edge.

Where have you put the fans? Looks like i'm going to have to do the same!

EDIT: Dug out some little copper BGA mem sinks I had spare, ordered some new thermal tape, going to go back to 3.9 for now, then try for 4 again once i've got the mosfets cooled.

an observation ...

despite clocking to various settings on the NB frequency it appears the HTT link speed always tops out at 2611 there or there abouts ... so is it worth the NB going above that ?

cant say I can tell any difference from NB @2600 or NB @3000 .. if anything the desktop feels smoother on the lower setting when booting into win7 so perhaps the higher NB is having to wait for the SB disc activity to catch up ..

all guess work as Im not sure of all the internal gizmo links :)

I am coming to the conclusion that TMPIN2 on the UD5P might actually be power circuits as it does rise and lower with over all system load despite clock speed on cpu or NB .. still got temps in 62C+ even with NB @ stock

and my H50 is at default setting .. rear fan as intake drawing air in over the radiator and out the top fan on the 900 case .. will think about getting 2 new fans and trying pushh-pull config but first gonna try a side case fan intake if one will fit without snagging on something

not totally sure of defaults as they have changed with a BIOS update .. lol

CPU - think it defaults 1.475 max with turbo core enabled but actually runs about 1.3v-1.4v @ stock (cant remember that far back now  )
NB @ stock the defaults are 1.15v

Yep upped bothe cpu multi and volts and then NB frequency and volts to make stable .. current specs are on the previous page

My H50 is set up as an exhaust, but thats mainly due to the way my case is designed.

Its a Silverstone Fortress FT01, and a positive pressure system. As such its incredibly dust free as there are filters on the two 180mm intakes. One at the front, one at the top. So my H50 has a nice supply of fresh air coming in right above it.

Stock volts for the 1090T is 1.3v and then 1.475v for Turbo Core.
With the 1090Ts as they are unclocked multis we've only been adjusting cpu and nb as thats the only things we've been changing, fsb is at 200. Not sure about 1055T guys.

I really want to get back to my 1090T now, lol. Try out some different combinations of nb/cpu clock.

Not the best job but it is very tight around the hsf, it will do for now, here you go.

for those that desire such things .. no idea how it compares though
