*** Official AMD Phenom II X6 1055T & 1090T Overclocking Thread ***

Cozman. im 95% sure now tmpin2 is the NB on our board... looking at Martini1991 screenshot his NB is 50c which i get around that on the tmpin2

seems to be what most on the net believe as well ... can certainly accept that BUT is it a real sensor or is it a guess by the cpu like core temp is .. lol

it would appear about right if yours is 50C in a room of 17C and mine when maxing out is 60 ish but my room temps are always mid 20's

the main questions has to be ... what is the max operating temp for the NB then ??? hope its not the 62C of the cpu or i maybe getting too close for comfort

Myself and mate are both thinking about getting the X6 Black Edition and matching it with an Asus Crosshair IV. I already have a nice Thermolab Baram to keep it cool.

Am I right in thinking the Mobo has pre-set OC's? We are both novice overclockers. I mean novice in the fact that both my current CPU and GPU are both clocked, but I did it with AMD / ATI overdrive programs. :o

I had exactly the same problem with an ASUS M4N72-e nvidia 750 chipset.
Couldn't take the multi over 16.
If you tried it would boot on defaults.
ASUS did release a newer bios for the M4N72-E which does allow multi and vcore changes but it is still extremely buggy.

Did you wait around or report it to ASUS. As I spoke to their online support but they are just useless and rude. Also how long did it take for them to update your BIOS?

No i didn't report it to ASUS.
Waited for a new bios to appear.

However i wasn't that motivated to find a solution, as i now have the 1090T in a different board anyway which works very well.

You wont go wrong getting the Crosshair 4.

As to overclocking, 4GHZ with a 1090T in a crosshair 4 is a walk in the park.
Just ask in this thread for bios settings.

Egh?
My NB's reporting at 48c, core temp reporting much lower than that..
How can they be one and the same?.

I'm currently approaching an hour in a blend at 4.1GHZ on my 1055T.
If you lot can't get 4.2GHZ stable, then you've wasted 70-90 quid imo..

It's set to 1.515.
It's just upping up in that screenie..

These chips will not stick 4ghz/ 1.5v and above on air under full load 24/7 ,mine is bordeline temp on good air in a cool room, better weather and hotter ambient and the vcore will have to be turned down. There is not a hope mine will see out a decent summer with current settings/cooling

Dunno about you, but I've already done an 8 hour at 4025MHZ lol.
I'm down to CL5 now too...

My next blend will either be at 4050/4084/4096/4105.

Personally, I think it'll be 4096, and I'm happy to call that 4.1GHZ

12+hr prime @4ghz 1.5v already posted in this thread and 9 days wcg full load. My point is at these speeds/vcore I am borderline on the 62c, and if the ambient is cool I can keep it well below that threshold, but as the weather gets better or even these running in a warm enviroment anything more on air is going to be hard to keep within the threshold
