*Official* Antec 1200 Case's,Builds,Modifications & FAQ's

Got mine today really happy with it awsome case but.....can any shed any light on when pushing the power on button nothing happens.....i have to hold the button for a good 10 secs before it springs into life and all is normal...did i miss something?

This is my PC, finally finished with cable management and adding of aftermarket gfx card coolers, theres a thread in gfx card section if anyone wants to see how this is done (took 20C off temps and runs much quieter), I can now relax and enjoy my gaming

yeah already got an akasa 120mm there, temps idle at 43C and peak at 64C under 3dmark, so quite happy with that, and thats with my case fans all on medium, high makes a bit too much noise for my liking, hence installing the aftermarket gfx card coolers

Hiya Guys,

Just got my case today, are the fans loud?

I dont want the case to sound like its about to take off lol

Anyone recommend really QUIET fans :)

Chris

You shouldn't need fans other than those it comes with.
Keep them down medium or low, the temps should be low enough with the 1200.

The stock fans are only loud if you put them on high. Mine never go above the medium setting & it keeps everything nice & cool.

I did add an extra fan in the spare front bay to make the wind tunnel, which is pointing straight at my CPU cooler. Also replaced the side pannel section that has the grill over it as I didn't like the grilled section.

Well im starting the build today, wish me luck lol

Outta interest, Im putting in the P5Q Pro MoBo and the Case has got mount points already fitted

are these correct, and did anyone use carbon type washers to stop the mounting points touching the Mobo?

well here is my new build :)
when budget allows i'll be adding another loop for the gpu.

Hi there, I really like your watercooling as I'm a sucker for internal radiators but I've never done any watercooling before. I was wondering how difficult this was to implement, did the case need modded at all? Also do you think it would be possible to cool dual GPU's and the CPU internally like this without case modification?
Sorry if I'm asking the obvious but as I say I'm a noob and I'm really quite intrested in watercooling my Antec 1200 at some point when it arrives. Thanks. :)

You dont have to use the washers, most if not all motherboards have an area around the mounting holes that are designed to take the standoffs.

Well ive been itching to get a new case for the longest time, and i thought i may as well go for the fabulous 1200 instead of the 902, so here it is...

finally got around to buying the 1200 to replace my LianLi PC70+ for my media server, great case and exceptional cooling.....my [email protected] idles @ 30c under a TRUE, was another 5-6c in my LL case.

the only negative i can give is that it's a little bit shallow in length, when you have 10 hdd's and 2 sdd's all that cabling in front get's a little cramped...but apart from that worth every penny.
