*Official* Antec 1200 Case's,Builds,Modifications & FAQ's

easy, you would to put it where the front bays are and have it stood up. Someones has done it in the antec 900 case, but that was a two fan radiator. Makes sense bigger case more room for a bigger radiator.

Was thinking more of like the HAF, where it fits in the top of the case.

aye, i noticed there is a big gap between that top fan and the mobo. You would obv have to mod the case.

Ahhh, so the HAF would be a better option then, because if I'm reading it right, they've designed it to be able to fit a triple "upstairs".

well there ya go then, if they've designed it to fit it exactly and would take less modification then go with that. But you dont have to have it at the top. Tis your choice.
Having three intakes sucking air into your case could get dusty quick and cover vital components at that angle, i would advise dust filters if you can get some.

I think this setup would extract air outside of the case.

But I stand to be corrected!

that's what i was saying, it would extract the air from outside the case and become very dusty(hence the dust filters:). I thought you were going for a three fan rad, or is that just an example?

I think the airflow would be from inside >>> outside the case, in the piccie.

That's just an example, the case can take a triple as well.

ah right, so obv you would have to move (if any) drives down. I dont see the point of having airblast out from inside to outside. Surely that would just heat up the rad more?

The way the case is designed, you'd have the reservoir in the top bay, as they have a fill-port built in.

Always thought it was better to have hot air extracted to the outside of the case?

They have a mahoosive 230mm intake fan on the front, so would have thought plenty of fresh air coming in to help cool the rad!

ah right, that would'nt be to bad like. Just with hot air heating the rad thought it would be a bad idea. But with a massive in take it'll be cooler air.

i bought an antec 1200 recently, and was considering watercooling, but i just dont know where to put the radiator. i dont really want to put it outside the case, but i cant really see anywhere else to put it. i was going to put it in the front upright behind the front 2 fans, but this is where i was going to put the pump because i have too long a psu to fit it in between. plus that would take away the ability to add more hard drives.

i see theres plenty space above the mobo under the big boy fan but im not sure where i could screw it in. im not too keen on drilling my own holes because with the wieght id expect the rad to be, i wouldnt be too confident in my work. any help or pics from someone whos already done it would be appreciated.

and does anyone have dimensions for this rad: WC-041-AC
and if it is small enough, would it work fitting it on the inside at the back of the case where the 2 fans are now?

Whats the paint like on these? My friends black lian li (A70b) is terrible for marking. I can practically scratch it with my nail - where as the ellipse/mirage has a very tough paint job and I havent got a single mark on mine in just under 2 years.

You won't mark the paint on these, much tougher than my Eclipses..
