*****Official Ashes thread*****

Australia's paying a terrible price for that wasted lbw review.

I called a lead of ~300 for England, with a 50 for Broad and century for Bell. England is currently on 6 for 326 with a lead of 261. Broad on 47. Bell on 95.

England will be convinced that they finally broke Australia in a heated final session at Trent Bridge, that the 261-run lead established by the end of the third day is already enough to secure victory in the first Investec Test.

Looks like I was right.

Well done Ian Bell! Lovely hundred under lots of pressure. He has been annoying to watch over the past lot of years but was always technically brilliant.

Yup well done for grinding this out and to broad for getting his half century. Going to bat 2 sessions i hope and put them in tonight for a peppering.

Glad to see the back of Broad, but it makes little difference now that Bell is bringing the game home for England. Australia can't beat a lead of 300+ on this pitch.

I wish bell would push on, I know slow and steady but 6 runs in 50mins....come on lad.

Good to see it swinging, jimmy is going to have fun.

Nice to see Bell's gone at last. 8 for 371; lead of 306.

Chances of Australia winning from here? Utterly negligible.

Would have liked a few more but 310 should be more than enough. Swann would have had more luck if he just swung the bat. Trying to bat properly doesn't work for him.

375 all out, Bell with a nice century to help England post a good total to chase...310 to chase down.

Game on...personally dont think the Aussie batters have any chance of chasing that down but lets see. Should be a corking run chase either way.
