I thought Lehmann had conducted himself pretty well until this...it's just not cricket.

"I hope the Australian public give it to him right from the word go for the whole [Australian] summer," he said.
More from Lehmann's interview
Triple M presenter: "The big news is that idiot Broad has finally come out and admitted what we knew, that it came off the centre. He's admitted he's done it on the eve of the Test after they've won the Test series, is he going to cop a bit of action when he comes to the crease?"

Lehmann: "He's been copping it all series, mate. I expect it will continue for a long time yet and I would hope the public get stuck into him when he gets out to Australia. I hope he whinges a lot."

Presenter: "I can't wait. He won't want to be fielding on the third man boundary, I reckon."

Lehmann: "The whole of Australia can help there, which I'm looking forward to"
"And I hope he cries and goes home. I don't advocate walking, but when you hit it to first slip it's pretty hard."

Thoughts?

Sounds like the Aussies have already started their battle of psyche's:p...i agree with him about Broad not walking...that was extremely unsportsmanlike imho and he should get some stick for it.

Pretty sure the Aussie population will be fired up when the series heads down under and Broad will get heckled by the crowd unless by that time, they have forgotten:p

Aussies off to a good start, Watson making his half century. Need to keep up their good start unlike the last test where they lost so many wickets it wasnt even funny.

That's an awful opening spell for Kerrigan. 100 in 2 hours on day 1 off a test is fast scoring but mainly because of kerrigans spell.

Doesnt seem to be much in the pitch for the bowlers so i expect the Aussies and even England to make some pretty big scores in this test.

And gawd almighty i hate that freaking stupid retarded tune they keep playing on the Sky sports ashes channel everytime they come back from an ad break.

It's unsportsmanlike of Broad but hugely hypocritical of the Aussies to pull him up on it when they are captained by a man who has attracted as much stick for not walking. I think it should just be agreed that the umpire's call is final and take it out of the player's hands.

Looks like a reasonable start, but tomorrow I'm attending the funeral of my friends' 5 year old daughter, so I'm not really in the mood to follow this game.

Might check back in a few days' time to see how it all turned out.

Fair enough evangelion. Thoughts go to you bud.

Watson just got hit at 88mph under the ear (the bit not covered by the helmet) he is up again and looks ok. Tough bugger.
