*****Official Ashes thread*****

Aussie new boy is having fun in the middle, whilst the "experienced" bowlers bowl very badly at him.....too many short/bouncers....come on lads sort it out.

Steven Finn really bowls some rubbish at time. I'm not a big fan of Bresnan but I think he bowls less tripe than this fella.

Agreed - he's still very rough around the edges. He's capable of brilliance though, but really needs to be taken under a wing and told to stop trying to bounce tailenders out.

It's a shame that Troy Cooley isn't around still. Played a big part in the early years of Broad's development.

50 on debut in an ashes match. Congrats to him but enough is enough. Made me laugh that he played a warm up match for Henley and played number 3 hehe. He won't be an 11 for long at this rate.

He's not a number 11 anyway, he's batted all through the top order at lower levels.

Still nowhere near enough runs for Aus. They lost too many wickets early today. It's a lot easier to bat than yesterday, should have been looking at a 50+ lead. England still have the advantage, but this innings will give Aus a psychological boost.

Not sure about that. If we bat as brainlessly as we dd yesterday we could be in trouble. Can't see it happening though.
