I'd love to know your BIOS settings ......... :D
Any benchmarks yet?

Ran a 3D 06 @ 3.6Ghz = 12381.

Im running it @ 3.5Ghz 24/7 now (389*9) because with 390 or higher FSB this mobo has the stupid power off/on problem that the P5W DH used to have. Hope fully they will fix this with a later bios.

Another big thanks for the BIOS screenies.

I still can't belive how low the your Vcore is for a 3.5GHz clock, thats what I have to use for 3.2 :p

Is the pencil mod worth doing on the P5K?

i would say the pencil mod is a must, i couldn't run orthos on any clocks before it.

For anyone who hasnt seen it this is the P5K premium

anyone going to buy ? supposed to be a better clocker

Thing, is there is the "Black Pearl P5K Premium" out any day now as well. Should be some kind fo wateblocked unit. There's also the p35 based blitz, that also has a waterblock and heatpipe design.

Any news on this black pearl board? makes a number of promises.

Onboard wifi is good, it has a good range and speeds. Software that can be used to create an AP is also quite good but I use the windows gui.As for cpu pll, gave me a 100mhz boost for quick benching speeds (3.8ghz) and 50mhz stable. :)

Thank you for explaining the purpose of increasing CPU PLL voltage. Although, what is the stock setting for it? I want to increase it, but i don't actually know how much i'll be increasing it by since it don't know what it's currently set at.

Anyone care to elaborate on the purpose of altering the CPU voltage reference?

As for the wifi card, i found it to be very good. All i had to do was connect the little aerial and i was able to connect straight to the internet. I haven't really touched it since, but i can tell you that it's been most reliable and worked, pretty much, flawlessly for the time i've had the motherboard.

I have to agree with you there Mansize_tissue, I just took out my Linksys WMP54G wireless card and used the antenna from it on the on-board wifi card. So far it seems to be doing a good job :)

Does anyone with the Asus P5K motherboard, have a set of Ballistix PC6400? If so, what overclocks are you getting with the RAM? :p

i have, but i havent touched the ram yet. still trying to get past 3ghz on this board. i have a real problem with this p5k, every time i change anything in bios, it wont boot, requiring a hard reset.

I'm using Ballistix PC2-5300. They're stable at 485Mhz with 4-4-4-12 timings at 2.1v, i haven't really tried anything higher since the next divider makes it run at about 550Mhz, so it's unstable without bumping up the voltage, i'd imagine.

That happened once during a large BIOS change. It felt like a power thing..
Does it happen with small changes? i.e. only changing Vcore by 0.125, save and exit.. and nothing??
The latest BIOS, 0507, seems more robust imo. Have you tried that?

I need lots of Vcore to run above 3GHz with my 2160. Currently on 3.3GHz with 1.5625v thanks to the pencil mod :D
