At work at the moment, but what bios does it have on out of the box?
I see 0207 about but not sure if it is worth going nuts and upgrading to a beta bios.

So far quite happy, although I didn't seem to be able to boot from a SATA attached Blueray drive when I had other SATA disks and RAID mode set.

Anyone else seen this and perhaps know a workaround - was forced to put an old IDE DVDROM in there for the time being.

Lastly got a QX9650 with this and when combined with Corsair Dominator ram it is very tightly fit in there, the ram heatsyncs may even be touching the cpu heatsync.

I just plugged and played my sata drives ,, bios is the one out of the box and im on water so sorry i dont have the CPU heatsink problem .

I can boot from SATA HDDs fine.
I just couldn't boot from the SATA Blueray drive to get Vista installed - even though I had clearly selected it as the first boot device in the bios.

Sorted now tho as I booted from an IDE DVDROM - but was wondering if I had messed something else up so I can take out that drive and perhaps just disable the SATA/PATA controller if it isn't needed.

Just got mine installed last friday, very very impressed. Big improvement over my old Asus P5B Deluxe.

My first attempt @ overclocking on this board I jumped straight in and ran my Q6600 @ 3.6 nice and easy posted first time with Vcore @ 1.5v stable.

What kind of improvements have you observed so far? Thinking of switching to this from my ageing P5W DH, which is from the same stone age as your old P5B:D

Do you think I can get 4GB OCZ DDR2 8000 and squeeze 4Ghz out of my Q6600 on air 24/7 (probably Noctua NH-U12P)?

I have the same issue with my P5K-Premium.....2 x SATA HDD's in Raid 0.
Stick in Pioneer DVR-215BK SATA burner and it just keep doing a 'seek' on the burner every so often. Win XP Pro. So, back to my DVR-112 IDE :)
