i am glad i got the 5770's with the stock cooler tbh , i think it looks better

. i just need to mod my case some more for better air flow around the crossfired 5770's

I leave all the settings as they are and just increase the resolution to 1920x1200.

I dont think they make waterblocks for the mid range series unfortunately.

yes EK have made a custom full water block for the 5770 due out end of the month

would my dad get away with a 5770 in a Dell 8400 ?

PSUI think is 350W rated - but Dell are quite conservative on their ratings

current card in there is a X800XL (!!) old reviews of that reckon about 105W peak power usage - which is about same as 5770

would there be any problems ?

depends on the brand but i do not think it has enough power tbh

Iv just ordered the zalman ZM-GWB3 universal block for my pair, you need to get a few vrm heatsinks tho for them with it
