Sooner or later you should be able to get a tracer dart on. If the helicopters are travelling slow enough to butcher everyone, then it should be easy to tag them. If the 'copters travel too fast, the guns' aim will be all over the shop.

Are you definitely putting it in right? CAPS no spaces or dashes. Some people get lucky with used versions so its strange that you're having this problem with a new copy.
I've been getting my own back with a slugged SPAS and got a couple of marksman headshots +2 which is allegedly 102m.
That's the point, ya don't get a chance, they can just constantly circle at your base, ya can't move outside, killed instantly, can't get to the anti aircraft guns, and rocket launchers are pretty much hopeless. It makes absolutly now sence in the game to do that.
Flying the helicopters well isn't an easy task really (well some people might say it is), so if the pilot can do this without being shot down then fair play.
Going back and playing this..I think this is one of the worst Onlinegames I have put up with.
Sorry to rant...but cant ignore all of this.
Their seems to be a real delay with what is actually happening to you and whats happening on screen...IE your still being shot or taking hits when you have gone for cover...several time ive dived behind a wall to be continuously "hit"...then die.

Characters apparently shooting you when they look like they are running.
Going back and the utter and daft stupidity of letting opposite teams just walk into your own Base and take your Helicopter/ Tanks etc...that has to be the most risdiculous Multiplayer situation when they are jsut circling you with both helicopters and no choice but to spawn there.
I don't mind this, I just shoot them down.
Suddenly stopping whilst being shot..you cant got to cover...
Suddenly turning when being shot...just daft.
No tracking of damage properly..IE shooting and hitting a target...but no acknowledegment of this, throwing...firing a granede launcher...but if you die the instant your granade and rocket missile vanish.
Umm...if you hit a target then it comes up with an 'X' on your crosshair to confirm you are hitting the target
Granade damage yields vary from throw to throw.
Weapons damage is beyond laughable now...the strongest guns all have silencers...can hit targets from 100s of yards away, as per shotguns...did they even bother to ask what effect putting a silencer a gun has?...ie...absoutly NO range on it then..even better a UMP or UZI being able to do this...the most famous non accurate guns ever made.
And the most obvious and terrible case...the end screen telling you have Lost the Game..when you clearly Won..or vice versa..

Ohh and whats with the absolutly pointless "rating" system you get tell your mark jsut before you go into the mutiplayer menu......its completely made up.....my number was changing from when I last left...to the next game I started machine on.

I think you are blowing some little problems way out of proportion. The end screen saying the wrong thing for example...if that really impacts your enjoyment then I don't know what is wrong with you.
As with suppressed weapons...its a bit of an exaggeration yet again to say they have 'no' range...or perhaps a complete myth. A properly constructed and installed suppressor will have no adverse effect on velocity or accuracy. Also, claiming 'hundreds of yards' is quite subjective in a game.
Youre roght...it is an exaggeration...when it is indeed..fact.
All supressors have a HUGE effect on bullet flight and power...hence they are never...ever..made at factory level.
