*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

Best place to pre-order? I know theres unlocks with certain pre-order places that come as standard, where does these? Looks like everywhere is 35-40, most tending to be 37+.

Much prefer this on console to PC, less homo snipers as attacking team.

Finding it odd how easy it is to get headshots with sniper rifle though, iv just had my first game as recon and it was headshots galore, got a decent K/D ratio but nowhere near the score I get when im in amongst it with assault.
 
Just had a match totally ruined by some dickwipe who plants C4 on his own team's objectives :/ you really shouldn't be allowed to cause damage to your own MCOMs, it's the worst kind of griefing there is, because none of us can do jack squat about it.

had exactly this myself this morning, there was a group of 4 snipers systematically destroying the MCOM's :(

to top it off it was as I was showing a friend why BFBC was better than MW2 in so far as there wasn't the same kind of a$$hat mentality in BFBC :(... ah well I've got it on pre order, but i may well be cancelling that
 
I had a play today (PS3) and somehow managed a Team Kill, no idea how. Just noticed it pop up. Also quite enjoy using the UAV, can really take out and spot plenty of enemies if you use it correctly.

Anyone know if your points and ranking etc that we get on the Demo, continue across onto the full game when and if you buy it?
 
I don't know but it's just really strange that you cannot team-kill but you can destroy your own objectives. I'll submit a bug report on it on the official site.
 
What's the highest rank you can get on the demo? It says I'm at rank 2, but on the scoreboard it's rank 3, and on the stats it says I need 4 million+ points to get rank 3 which is pretty impossible. :confused:
 
What a fun game, easy to get lots of kills and deaths and then straight back in the action!

Now to found out the best place to pre-order
 
I'm rather enjoying this, actually feels like you can make good use of your time alive, unlike MW2 which is just a constant cycle of dying and respawning every 20 seconds.

Its possible to get teamkills a few ways. Most likely is through destrution 2.0

Rank 2 is the highest you can get. You can phyiscally get to rank 3 but it will take a very very long time. No ranks will be carried over from the demo though

Quick funny one Gordon Van Dyke (a dev) plays the xbox live demo and has access to all the guns. If you're lucky enough to play with him you can pick up his kit.

*new theme up on xbox as well today*

How does that scenario even make sense? Bonus campaign or something? Could be a flashback actually. Isnt the story that they're looking for some superweapon from the WW2 era?
 
Has anyone had trouble starting up a game today? I felt like a quick game but I can't log in to the EA servers.

I'm 100% getting this.
