I cant give you much advice but from what I've seen a quad core makes the world of difference. For that reason I'd get it on the 360 and have the level playing field.

With Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 being regularly victimized by bugs, glitches, hacks and other exploits, there's an opportunity for another game to come in and do some real damage. Bad Company 2 definitely has the necessary chops to give the current king of, well, modern warfare, a run for its money. Aside from its limited weapon tweaking, it hits on all of the same high points as its biggest competition but does it with a style all its own.

I love how everyone is using BC2 to slate MW2, not against it, but BC1 had nowhere near such an impact on the fps community!

It's staggering how well DICE have come out on top already.

Let's hope this spurs on for more BC's!

I think a major factor in Dice's success was 1943. Neither me or anyone on my friends list had touched a battlefield game before - and that came out during a slow patch. Perfect timing...perfect introduction and setting everyone up for wanting a full on battlefield. Then enter BC2 just at the time when MW2 has left quite a few feeling a little empty. The lead up and timing to BC2 seems perfect.

Indeed. I got hooked to BF1943 immediately and then went and sought out BC1 - it was already in the Platinum/Classics range when I picked it up. :D Couldn't put it down for ages but I sold it to part fund BC2 which does everything better. (Well nearly, providing they've fixed the user interface for the gold release. I fear not though.)
 
I really enjoyed the demo (PS3) and have ordered it from the rain forest, but made the mistake of clicking the free delivery button so I dont think I will get it on day of release unless someone on here can clarify that?

Must admit when the Demo finished on the 25th Feb, I went back to Bad company 1 on the PS3 and it was so different, really was.

I cannot wait for this to come out. If the rest of the game is as good as the demo was we are in for a real treat.

Each to there own I know, but this really is my kind of game. This is what gaming should be like in my eyes.

You have an amazon account? Just sign in and change the delivery method.
1st Class gives an estimate of Monday
Expedient gives an estimate of Friday - Bit of a rip though.

Still who knows when it will be.
 
I only have first class delivery, how much extra is express? I wont be in to sign for it though so was hoping first class would be a royal mail through the letterbox jobby.
 
I have cancelled my pc order and order a 360 with 4 games and pre-ordered bad company 2 today.

If any wants an easy kill, add me to xbox friends when I get my console, I'll be the one looking at the sky then the floor while running in a circle!
 
not sure if its been posted already but gametrailers are currently streaming the first 1 hour of the game... although their whole site seems to have crashed lol

It's because the closed PS3 beta, followed by the PC beta, followed by the two console public demos have all been consistently phenomenal. There's no better way of showing the quality of the game other than simply letting people see it for themselves.

I for one, have played the BF games since 1942. Good old days :D

Really looking forward to this one. Now I just have to wait and see who despatches my copy first: Amazon or Tesco. The Amazon order is at £36.99 and the Tesco order is at £24.99, but if Amazon despatches first (I have Prime) then I'll be cancelling the Tesco order. I'd rather have it for release day than have to wait a few days just to save a bit of cash. Especially since my better half is now going to be out on Saturday all-day :) Bring on the BC2 gameage!

I got Saturday booked off from the missus and little one as well. :D

Haha! I keep checking both order pages to see whether one has been sent yet. I expect that Amazon will probably post tomorrow, although I'm hoping it will go today. I will cancel whichever doesn't ship though. Little point in me having two copies of the game.

Well you could help out a fellow member by selling it them for what you paid + 90p to cover postage?
