*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

Anyone know the deal as to why on Squad Deathmatch it only rotates between 2 maps? Been playing now for a couple of hours in a squad and its only been the same two maps over and over?

Loving MP atm. When you get a game were everyone isn't a sniper, it's great!

Haven't decided between hardcore or normal yet. Normal seems good all round, whilst hardcore the damage is maybe a touch better for me, but the lack of map is annoying due to the size of the maps in this game and spotting etc.

Think i'll stick to Normal for now.

Dropping by to say, this game seems to have the same bugs/features as BF1943 (PS3). Can't always hear voice comms of everyone on your squad and no mic icons in lobby.

Also I am getting a "Failed to connect to EA online" constantly.

Twas interesting to say the least. My mic seemed to have bust in-game. Switching it on/off did nothing. Start the game again, got put on the opposing side. (Nice shot from the helicopter, rp! Blew me right off my quad bike. :D) Then I got disconnected twice with server errors. Totally nuts.

PC guys getting the same. The main EA server has gone down a fair few times.

Getting the "failed to connect to EA online" on the PS3 :(

Fair few bugs seem to have been added to the full release, the beta and demo were fine, but now I'm constantly losing my unlocks and when they do finally come back, all my kit loadouts lose the 'perks' I add.

So am I right in saying there are still two maps that us PS3 lot have yet to see and will be available when they fix the store issue?

I did get the game today.. was in-stock everywhere, as previously said, it's not got a big hype as of yet.

Love the single player, even though it's linear, I don't feel constrained to a single area of the level. Haven't played MP that much yet, but it's really smooth with all that havoc going on.. some really good netcode!

One gripe is that on single player, the sound effects seem to stop and loop sometimes.. e.g. the Blizzard Level - the wind/snow sounds would stop for like 3 seconds and play again, quite annoying but passable. Same happens with the dialogue.

I played those maps today - in fact, Nelson Bay was the very first map I went on when I got the game. I think the maps were already on the disc
