*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

Bought this on 360 today purely for multiplayer. Feels a hell of a lot smoother than the demo did. Haven't come across lagg yet which is a nice thing. My only gripe is it feels like you're playing against a team full of snipers.
 
Better off playing conquest mode if you don't like sniping. Not a huge amount of opportunities on those maps because people are always coming and going.

As for the maps, yes I have already been playing them. Never realised they were Nelson Bay and Laguna Alta. I don't think I've been on Laguna Presa yet. Hurry up EA, I want a go!

I adore this game, its everything I wanted and more.

I am concerned about one game bug or possibly my first hardware problem...

Lastnight after about 3.5 hours playing MP, the visuals stalled slightly then recovered, but all sound went off, but the game played fine. Couldnt access Dashboard though. Was ok after a reset, but just hope this isnt a regular occurrence.

Ive just unlocked the 4x scope for Assault, essentially an ACOG. The assault class just grew some sharp teeth for me now.

One gripe: Why on earth does the sniper have so many toys to play with, yet the assault class only gets an ammo box!?

I had that on 360 last night. Turned it off and on again and all was fine!

I heard the letterbox go this morning go out and find one of those damn delivery slips! Didnt even knock and now I have to go to a collection office miles away. He didnt even fill it in so I dont know what time to collect it.
 
I'm impressed so far, though its taking a bit of getting used to, completely different feel to MW2.

I think the sniper thing will calm down at some point, I like being a sniper but I suck at it so I only do it for a bit of fun occasionally.
 
Seems to be playing up for me today. Started a game and had lost my assault config, only when I died I could re do it again. Then when I respawned I lost all my XP/Score from the life before and had been reverted back to 0! strange...
 
I actually loved the beta but having no fun on the real game so far...

Is it the damage increase? Feels like you just die instantly, Rewards bad aiming :p

Or maybe I've just been unlucky so far :p

I've had this twice now. Its as I get killed it goes into 1 fps for a bit then goes back to normal with no sound.

I found a quick fix by going into sound options and changing the sound filter from the current option to another then saving settings

This brought the sound back for me, and it also saves you having to quit out of the game
