for some reason, I can only hear gun fire in the right headphone :( it could be my sound card (onboard on Gigabyte X58 UD5) anybody ells getting this problem? or different settings?
 
Anyone running windows 7 x64 have everything on highest possible? (tweaked in settings.ini too..) audio.. gphx.. res etc want to post their settings.ini ??
 
Theres 2 codes 1 on the back of the booklet and 1 on a seperate leaflet, leaflet is the unlock code, but you will need to enter the serial code twice ( booklet), once while installing and once when u go to multiplayer.


Edit: oops forgot i dont think the play.com has the unlock codes anyway, was the reason i switched from play to game
 
That Battlefield Veteran thing has annoyed my. I have had soooo many gamertags with Cobra this and that. I cant remember hardly any of the combinations.
 
Heres the latest from DICE on the connectivity issues:

You may have noticed last night that the public servers labelled with the EA name started to disappear last night.
This was to reduce server load at EA which was being caused by the server browser refresh. This extra load was affecting your ability to find and get into games and even login to the game.

We are working on a solution to reduce the server load caused by the server browser and once that is done we will have the EA public servers brought back online.

all our hosts were bringing down the public servers yesterday to make things run more smoothly for you while we can get a fix in place to handle all the server replies without killing EA's network.

So apparently ea's mighty pentium 3 128mb of ram server network was getting raped.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you only get this gun by having a veteran status of 1 or greater on veteran.battlefield.com, even then I've heard that this gun is not usable (although it does show up in the game) at the moment because of a bug.

To be clear, entering your promo code does not unlock the M1 Garand and it's not meant to.

Edit: Yes, this blog post certainly doesn't list the M1 as an unlock that you get with the Limited Edition promo code.

Just register a BF Heroes account, unlocks the M1 apparently. But as you say, its sketchy at best.
 
Got on at last I was on for less than 2hrs and I'm almost at level 4.

Seems a lot of servers aren't running snow maps? (Thank god)

Loving the WW2 Thompson :D

Im not quite sure what all the fuss is about this M1 Garand.. Why take an old gun to a modern war.

You wouldnt swap your grenades for a pack of sausages....

OK, disabling Catalyst A.I has worked, but gutted as not making most use out of my 5970 now :( :(
