Got vsync and AA to work without changing the config file etc. Read on the steam forums that if you have problems with both, select a different res in the game from your native one then go back to the native res and it should remember the settings that time. Looks far better now, although i still have a really daft muzzle flash which pops up at the top left of my screen lol

Tried this, it works, changed my res to 1650x1080 went ingame then back to 1920x1200 and i got no tearing anymore.

I find my self forgetting some times, quickly going for the kill rather than the "spot"

Slowly getting into the habbit though. All armor gets spotted straight away.

It definately helps. It suprising how many kills you can get by just firing at the dot say 100m away behind foliage.

this games performance is crap! I have a good spec. yet every time i go into the menu and come out. The npc's move stuttery! IF i lower the settings to low it makes no difference!!!

The BETA was fine but the main game is terrible!!!!

Quite contrary to what most are experiencing. Pretty much everyone I have spoken to says the games runs much better on the Gold release than it ever did in Beta.

Yeah still a lot of selfish playing I don't think I was revived once in 2hrs.

Nope, it's automagically done for you.

Itrs ajustible in the configuration file settings.ini. Have only had a hour playing at 4am this morning so when im hope from work in a couple of hours going to give it a good 6 hour bashing

for some reason when I start the game up it messes the sound of my microphone up over teamspeak. I sound 'Robot'y' apparently =\. Also what is war tapes?

Any news on the toggle crouch aswell?

Anyone running windows 7 x64 have everything on highest possible? (tweaked in settings.ini too..) audio.. gphx.. res etc want to post their settings.ini ??

here you go mate, not everything is on its highest, but seems good enough for me, 1 thing is i canged my fov and render ahead from 2 to 1

Rumour is that changing RenderAheadLimit=2 (default ) to 0 will increase fps.

I had the same problem, just keep hiting the 'submit' button once you have filled in the cd key/login details. I did this about 20 times and eventually it got accepted

After banging my head against a wall, reinstalling BF2 to check my login details I realised its the stupid site that seems to pick a random error each time.

All details went through fine today. Hopefully I'll have the M1 when I get home
