I think we should nuke the thread/posts as well. I wouldn't want the OcUK tag being associated with pirating (in its strictest definition).

In it's strictest sense, meaning; getting something you haven't paid for?
As I am pretty sure anyone talking of the SP here, have paid money for their copies.

To move on and forget about the piracy debate; still not found a chopper to practise with in the SP. :D

Dont know if its been posted already, as I really CBA to read through the whole thread to find out whats even relevant here anymore.

Ripped directly from www.badcompanytwo.com

Last week, we found out that 2 maps will be available as DLC on day 1 for Battlefield Bad Company 2. The two maps were Nelson Bay (Rush Map), and Laguna Alta (Conquest Map). Now we have some new information about what kind of DLC will be available a few weeks after launch.

Bad Company 2 will get a second wave of DLC (Downloadable Content) sometime near the end of March. The new DLC store will feature 1 specialization for each class, as well as a second map pack. The specialization’s are unique uniforms and camouflage weapons that can be used on the Battlefield in Bad Company 2’s MultiPlayer. Battlefield fans will be able to purchase all 4 new specs as a bundle, or buy them one by one as they please. It is expected to be a bit cheaper to buy the bulk package, rather than buying them all one by one.

Below are the full contents of the Late March DLC, as well as the Bad Company 2 Store Sneak Peak:

Specializations DLC: (Pay)

* Assault: Unique camouflaged M16A2 and matching camo’s.
* Engineer: Unique camouflaged UMP-45 and matching camo’s.
* Medic: Unique camouflaged MG3 and matching camo’s
* Recon: Unique Camouflaged M95 and matching camo’s

**The Spec DLC also includes 3 new awards and one Achievement.

Map Pack 2 DLC: (Free)

* Arica Harbour gets new life with a addition of Conquest Mode.
* Laguna Presa gets enhanced with Rush Mode.

It's nice to see they're only making people pay for uniforms and such, which don't really give an advantage to people who buy them, and also that maps will be free, to stop segregation of the players, like they normally do with expansions.

Reading from the above I assume the weapons are all standard weapons with no gameplay alterations (same accuracy/ damage/ rate of fire) just cosmetic alterations..

I like the sound of arica being a conquest map, from the vids ive seen of it its certainly large enough.

Thay can shove the pay stuff though, paying for something that probably only people have bought it can see? I think not.

Ah.. I kind of forgot that there was a single player part of the game to be honest. I doubt I'll even load that side of it up :) Multiplayer all the way.

That is exactly why I (may or may not have) acquired it early. With multiplayer games like this, the singleplayer never ever gets a look in because it's always nowhere near as fun. I figured if I (may or may not have) got it early and couldn't play the multiplayer then I'd get it finished and a bit of practise in too :D
Mouse is still inconsistent and laggy (by all accounts) :( This fabled first day patch is going to have to work miracles.
I won't talk about the game itself as that would spoil it for people who are waiting like good boys and girls which is what I should (or may shouldn't have not have) been doing.
The 5th seems an awful long way away :(

I also find it unfair that other countrys should get the game released before us, whats all that about?

Friday has traditionally been "release" day in this country for many many years.

In America, it is Tuesdays, anyone know why this is?

Fridays make sense to cash in at the weekend, Tuesdays dont.

I didn't have any inconsistent/ laggy mouse issues- finished the SP yesterday.
