Hi guys. Back on topic

Taking my rather old system specs into consideration :

C2D E6600 @ 3.2Ghz
3GB DDR 800 Ram
WD 150 Raptor
Nvidia GTS 8800 640Mb
1920x1080 24" Monitor

Have any of you got a similiar spec and how playable is it ? I cant afford to upgrade yet but i dont want to miss out.

I have a similar rig, e6320 @ 3.29 ghz 4gig and a 4870.

I could run the beta on medium settings @ 1920x1200 and got about 50-30 fps depending on how much was going on.

The retail has been optimised so should run better. I cant afford to upgrade either but it should run well on your rig.

^ Good to know, I have a 4870 and 4ghz i7 rig so plan to see how the system runs before i get a new card.

Thats pleasing to hear. Im gutted my once beast of a machine is now showing its age. As long as BFBC2 looks reasonable and smooth im happy.

It might just get me back into pc gaming.

a 4870 is a lot better than a 8800 640 maybe nearly half as fast again

True but the frostbite engine is more cpu dependant than other games seeing as it was origionaly built for consoles.

Some people reported during the beta that the game was only using 30% of their gpu (iirc).

Ah.. I kind of forgot that there was a single player part of the game to be honest. I doubt I'll even load that side of it up Multiplayer all the way.

Nah, it's good. Its long, unlike MW2's shoddy attempt at a film type ending to all 7 of it's levels lols

The worst thing will be waiting for it to arrive after having paid for it and everything, you could always buy it anyway then pop along to your nearest PC store and just take one off their shelves as you've paid for it already

I think i may have to pre-order this then, I have not played on my pc for ages. This could be the game to get me back into it. I have seen the videos online and i am impressed. This coould be the make or break to decide wether i sell my machine or not.

I didnt really have any problems during Beta.

The sooner this is released the better! Had to return to MW2 and it's worse than ever! Frickin' BC2 beta played better with all it's faults.

There is no prone in all versions, neither PC nor console.
