It could be down to new server upgrade:

We have just rolled out server version R6 for Bad Company 2 which should fix the Punkbuster INIT Failure kicks people have been seeing.
All servers will have restarted to pickup this important update.

Guys, I am having issues playing this. It was fine last night, but tonight it just locks up after 30 minutes or so? First off, the sound starts glitching, then I just get a grey screen and I cannot play anymore.

Stats in sig, but I now have a 5850 instead of the 8800. Any ideas?

Whats your point? Maybe we should limit Assault because of all the people who choose to be noob tube spamming morons with it? Or Engineer for RPG spammers? Or Medic simply because Defibs and LMGs are unbalanced? Just because the lowest common denoniminator tends to go it because they think they're 'safe' and can get kills easily is no reason to limit it. They'd do no better on the other 3 classes and frankly, if the Recons on your team didn't suck, the 'noob' enemy Recons wouldn't stand a chance. Be it shooting or Mortaring. Hell use the Smoke launcher if you have to.

The point im trying to make is,for the Defenders it makes sense to have Recon class, for the Attackers it dosn't, all it does is make people mad because most of the team are sniping and not doing the objectives.

I didnt say limit it, i said remove it from the attackers, what do you think would happen to the game then if this happened, maybe you would have to go assualt next round but your next round you can be a comfy sniper.

Why? A Recon is a Scout. Covering an MCOM charge as a Sniper from distance to prevent defusing. Using Motion Detectors and moving with the team, going around to play Spotter. All valid things to do. As is sitting back and killing enemy Snipers sometimes, assuming you're a good shot.

I've filed a ticket with killer creations over the server problem. If they don't resolve it soon I'll probably cancel the server as we already have a million on here.

I'll just end up getting one again in a month or two, hopefully when things are a little more stable.
 
i'm sure i've had this on preorder for more than a month now... still no copy.

Ah well same as usual from the UK :(
