Hey guys, been following this thread a bit...need to ask something quick!
Is this game worth getting if you've never played BF2? I'm a pretty good FPS player (at least competitively in CS/COD2) but I need something casual and plain fun. Whatcha say?

Bc2 stats is just e-peen, the fact you have more kills than deaths proves nothing and does not indicate how useful you are to your team.
I mostly play medic, and rarely have my machine gun out or use it, im too busy looking for people to revive or heal. My team mates should be killing for me......

hey, its just my opinion, i guess you play recon a lot.
Whats your point? Maybe we should limit Assault because of all the people who choose to be noob tube spamming morons with it? Or Engineer for RPG spammers? Or Medic simply because Defibs and LMGs are unbalanced? Just because the lowest common denoniminator tends to go it because they think they're 'safe' and can get kills easily is no reason to limit it. They'd do no better on the other 3 classes and frankly, if the Recons on your team didn't suck, the 'noob' enemy Recons wouldn't stand a chance. Be it shooting or Mortaring. Hell use the Smoke launcher if you have to.

just got it - and finally got it installed / patched / setup blah blah - and oh my god, its solid.
after spending months on TF2 this is a whole new ballpark.
i suck
i never played it before and for me at first it was hard, now im getting used to it and getting better over time
started with somthing like 4 kills 12 deaths now on 11 kills 3 deaths

)This is exactly why DICE don't like admins messing around with the servers game content to match what their mates want or only their mates would be playing. You can't please everybody all the time.
I agree that the gameplay could do with slowing down a tad and some of the more obvious weapon damage nerfed , but that is DICE's decision as it affects everybody who paid for this game , not just those few that are worried about their K/D ratio.
IMO the thing that needs dumbed down are the stats. Teamplay will always be secondary while they are as detailed as they are.
The game is the game, like it or not.

I had the same problem whilst in a server...I've not been able to find a new game/reconnect since.
Just completed a few conquest games.... Enjoying the engineer class. Not one to hold back .... just rushing in and trying to get the bases....lol. bad K/D ratio... lol.
But i am having a blast.
Glad they seemed to have fixed the PB issues.
