People who stay back to pad their KD ratio will level far less than people who do the objectives and kill the vehicles etc, not saying you do but when I blow stuff up it tends to gief lots more points then just staying at the back like a newb.

The longer you play, it becomes easier anyway, there is so many 5000 point medals and such for guns, efficiency etc

Maybe I just haven't logged as many hours as I thought. Is there a total play time counter like there was in BF2?

I certainly do go for objectives, repairs, revives etc. I also go out of my way to blow up armour :)

I love this game.

Yeah i see your point. At least with your spanking new rig you will be able to enjoy it to its full potential, Im not jealous at all with my old fogey rig :(
 
Imagine I'm a noob (difficult I know). Would someone explain to me everything about the tracer? Who has it, what it does, how you use it, how someone else uses your tracer etc? It completely passed me by in the beta, I only heard about it after the beta ended. Don't want to enter the full game crippled by my ignorance.

Ah, free is generally better than anything else, so good choice :)

Though I'm really trying to block the mental image of you "getting wet" at the moment.... :p

Everyone can unlock it, or starts with it if you buy the limited edition of the game.

All classes can use it, but it replaces your pistol. You pull it out, shoot it at a vehicle (or person) and it sticks to it (you get points for this)

Everyone who has an RPG equipped them sees a red box on their screen (small). They aim down the site on the red box, wait for the distance meter to show up, then shoot, and it locks on. So you can aim straight up in the air (to fire over a building for example) and it will track the target. I think this also works with the chopper, so if you're in the chopper you can lock on to the target as well, not 100% on this.

If someone else destroys the vehicle, you get more points for placing the tracer.
 
There's an Insignia for online time :p - 5k for 1 days online time, 5k for 2 days, 10k for 5 days....

Should tell you there, mine is currently 10 hrs apparently
 
That sounds quality. In your opinion ScarySquirrel, what class would you say has the best weapon, as in firepower and accuracy ?

I used to be a medic on BF2 but im not sure if i can cope with the huge machinegun.
 
Sounds to me PLAY people are going to be the last to get it (mine is coming from play:( )

But I wont be to fussed if it comes to tommorow :)
 
Can someone please tell me if there is also an option for single-player matches against bots on chosen maps as in Battlefield 2, or is the single-player game campaign only?

Hmmm, well I like them all, and I mix it up as they are all fun to play.

I would say the Assault class purely because the XM8 is awesome, you can get points from ammo supplies to team mates, and you have a grenade launcher.

Then again, the LMGs that the medic has are also pretty accurate if fired in bursts, and you have the benefit of bigger clips, and massive points from heals and revives :)

I was just about to start saying how the Engineer is equally as good, but I won't, as I'll end up listing the good things about recon as well. The point I'm trying to make is that the game is extremely well balanced in my opinion.
