wth is wrong with u people u bought the game and u cant wait a few more days. acting like 10 year olds...

Its just the youth of today, the gimme gimme now now generation. The sorts of folks whose I want I want attitude have impacted the style of MMOs since the golden days (imo) of the genre.

So if you got a game delivered a few days early, you're telling me you would wait until release date until you install it and play it? Really?

Are you telling me that receiving a game early via official legitimate channels is the same as downloading the game "illegally" ? Really?

I don't condone downloading games, however i can see where Robert1986 is coming from.

The devs aren't losing anything since its not a physical copy. If he stole a copy from the shops, then the devs lose out, but since he paid for it and is just downloading a copy, the devs aren't losing money from him. Its people who download and don't buy the game/preorder thats the problem.

If the devs were that bothered about losing out on pre orders why just not call steam and thell them to release it now, Its what steam is capable of so why not

If its ready for haxxors then its ready for the people who paid, but yet again the paying customer loses out,

I see no probs with people doing this and having the SP finished for the 5th, either way its still paid for and the replayablity is in the multiplayer

Not commenting on that, commenting on your "gimme gimme now now generation" comment. By your standards if you get a game early which could have been by a mistake from the retailer, you wouldn't install it and play it until the official release date, but then again from your reply, it seems you would do so if given the option.

I ordered the game via Steam, does it matter if I download it now or in a few days? Steam hasn't even guaranteed us a Pre-load, so by getting it now I can chill out and not have to worry about a fight for bandwidth on the Steam servers on release day if they don't give us a Pre-load option. If they do I can download the game when they do and install it ready for release and delete the copy I got via a torrent. There's no effect on EA or DICE, I've not stolen money, or played a game with no intent of buying it.

That MW2 vs BC2 thing is cobblers. I don't think there's anything wrong with comparing the games, but BC2's audio is far and away better than anything MW2 had. As for lasting appeal, I've already played and enjoyed more BC2 than I did MW2, and that was only in beta. Think they've got that backwards.

So as an example, you buy a house, the paperwork, solicitors handlings and funds are all sorted, everything is completed and ready. The move in date is set for next thursday. You however would go to the house next monday and move in on monday as you've bought the house and cant be bothered to wait til the actual move in date?

Its a pointless discussion really though and a waste of time as those types of people who dont download will justify their position and continue not downloading, and those types of people who do download will justify their position and continue downloading. (one kid that I work with does make me laugh with his justification though, he says that as he already pays for access to the internet then it means that he has already paid for everything he finds on the internet so he is right to download every game and movie he finds for download. Nutter.)

Like I say, its the gimme gimme I want I want youth attitude of today imo, but thats just my opinion. As I say though, its a pretty pointless and worthless discussion because it will change nothing and no-one.

Seeing the review compared to mw2 makes me sad the graphics in mw2 where nothing to rave about and the sounds while good are not as good as bc2 on wartapes. Hanz zimmer though is epic and on mw2 is awesome.

I agree with the pointless discussion part of your post - but "youth of today" is pretty comical. It has nothing to do with age.

I quite enjoy the anticipation. Also I have a busy week ahead so nice not to have the distraction. But shame on you for not buying it and playing illegaly. It's only £25 for hours of entertainment. Buy it!

I know where you're coming from of course, you don't agree with it maybe because the piracy figures would be higher than they actually are if everyone who didn't want to wait, downloaded the game torrent pre-maturely and then played the single player, which make the PC piracy figures look really bad etc etc.

For me personally, the reason behind not waiting is more that come release day I do really want to play the game and I was looking to download it via Fileplanet or something as a second copy come march 2nd when it's released in the USA, as-well as getting it from Steam just in case Steam doesn't pre-load the files and it gets to the end of release day and I still can't play the game because the servers are being crap or Virgin Media decides to throttle my connection after a certain download capacity.
As a by-product if downloading it now allows me to play the Single Player campaign, then.. Yeah.

As I say, its a pointless discussion because no-one will change their attitude regardless of whats said here. I guess I am just different thats all, cant see the desperate urgency in having to play on release day or why I must play the single player campaign prior to release. I'd be happy starting to play it at anytime, day 1, day 12 or day 100. Wouldnt bother me. Thats why it smacks of the gimme gimme I want now attitudes that I see in hundreds of younger folks almost every day. Its just different attitudes, thats all. Each to their own, pointless to try and change it.

Why do you care so much about people downloading the game anyway?

Its going to happen and theres nothing anyone can do about it.

Is the single player going to be better than the POS in the first one?

Played most of the single player this morning...its pretty good. But bear in mind this is designed for mostly online play really.
The game runs great, the graphics are great, im very impressed with the whole thing.
And before anyone moans, I bought the game about 8 weeks ago through EA store as Im a complete battlefield addict. Just very curious to see how it runs before the game is released :D
