Sign up for Battlefield Heroes, I think you merely need to sign up and log in and it'll add BFH to your veteran account.
 
I dont see a DirectX option in the graphics settings.

Is the game defaulting to the highest DX version available? so on my 8800GT on Win7 its running at DX10? Where can I change it back to Dx9.0? Prefer higher texture setting to the higher DX
 
Can anyone tell me how do you get surround sound in bad company 2?

Do you need an optical connection only? Does your soundcard have to support dolby live? Are the only speakers you can use (pc-wise) z-5500's?
 
should default to dx10 automatically.

goto users\username\bc2 and in there you have a settings.ini file. In there directx=auto will be specified. just change it to 9
 
why pay more?

I got it yesterday and bought it from game, with el'cheapo delivery option. Was here a day before release, never have had any issues with game
 
I did create another thread on this, but as the issue appears to only raise its ugly head in BC2 I though I'd re-post it here:

OK, so this is a touch annoying!

Load BC2, set everything at high, try launching a single player and BSoD.

BSoD shows something wrong with ATIPMDAG.SYS (plus other gumpf).

I've removed the CPU overclock completely, so now everything is running as out of the box:

Q6600
Sapphire HD 5970 (running 10.2)
Windows 7

...and re-set BC2 to default low res, everything on low settings etc.

BSoD again.


Rather irritated at this! Anyone else experiencing similar? Any suggestions? Not much info on Google at this point sadly... so right now I can't appear to play BC2.

**EDIT: Meant to say, the Beta appeared to play fine, but that was using my old GeForce 9800GX2 card...

**Edit2: I've also now tried 10.3, exactly the same thing. I'm now going to try 10.1...
 
I've had a cancellation email from the EA Store about my order due to not receiving payment in the last 30 days. Le what? I only bought it from there a few days ago and paid instantly via card :confused:

edit: Luckily I have it on steam too but still...weird.
