A few things about this game.

1: Server browser is terrible
2: Getting a lot of CTD
3: How are people level 20+ already :O

What do you get for veteran status?

I have a copy of battlefield 2 knocking around god knows where the cd key is!

what is this BF2 veteran thing? I still have my old BF2 account from years back!

Login here with your EA account http://veteran.battlefield.com/ if your just registering battlefield 2 then it's easy you just need your cd key, type it in and you have veteran status. A '1' symbol will appear in game by your name (leaderboards and when you press tab) to indicate you owned one previous battlefield game, you will also get access to the M1 garand

However they have a bug with the M1 garand so at the moment people have it but just can't use it -.-

I have just reran it. Was 7.9 with my 4890 (may have been xfire) now its 7.8.

So I will see how it goes.

I cant Enter my BC2 Details on that site wont bring up a box to enter my cd key ??

Anyone else running it in DX9 still? Just not smooth enough for me in DX10 unless I turn the AA off and the HBAO or whatever it is. Kinda annoying seeing as I bought a AMD Phenom II X4 3.40GHz CPU just for this! Surely my 4870 1 gig graphics card should be capable of running a bit of AA?

How many level are there? Levels shouldn't make much difference once you get the main guns and special items (i hope).
Anyone know the difference between hifi and headphone sound setting? Is one better for surround than another?

not quite, for BF2 it's actually your playername and password that it wants (not your CD key) and just registering BF2 on it's own is not enough to get you a veteran status above zero. For that you need to register at least 2 previous battlefield games.

Also the system does not support registering all previous BF games yet - for example, no boxes are presented for you to fill in if you select BF 1943 (PS3) which is a bummer for me as that's the only other previous game (apart from BF2) that I own

For battlefield 2, if your talking about bad company 2 it's not yet available, there meant to have it within a few days probably next week.

I think it's a bit stupid that there going to let people register bad company 2 as veteran when its only just been released, kinda defeats the point of being a veteran they should wait till the next battlefield arrives (1943) and then add it to veteran I think

Yeah, some games don't support entering their details yet - BC2 is one of them. I don't think that's the point anyway, as BC2 is a current game owning that hardly makes you a "veteran"!

anyone having problems with servers not showing ? been trying the last 2 hours to get onto my own server. showed up in the list once but kept loosing connection then vanished again.....
