Well that's me finished with BS2, sad as ever to see it end

I truly love these games.
+ Gameplay improved a lot.
+ Plasmids improved, I love the stage 3 plasmids but imo they come in too late in the game.
+ Graphics seemed to have been improved a fair bit and it runs slightly better.
+ Nice selection of moral choices throughout the game and the option to harvest more ADAM than ever.
+ Good atmosphere. Underwater parts
+ Fantastic art direction.
+ Good selection of new enemies
+ Hacking is a lot better
- Too many weapons I just didn't even need to use, I don't even think I used the launcher. The only weapons I used frequently were shotgun, hack tool, drill and rivet gun. Most of the others were pointless!
- Didn't feature Fontaine (Atlas) or Andrew Ryan, well not really a bad thing since they died in the first but I bloody loved those chars but dissapointed there were none in BS2 that managed to replace them or match the gravitas they held
- The difficulty, on hard anyway is disproportionate throughout the game. Near the end it becomes insanely easy where as half way through you find yourself frustrated as hell. So IMO the difficulty should have been balanced out better.
- The game was lacking what Bioshock 1 had, bad guys with stories to tell on how they'd become insane.
- We had stages of different badies in BS1 we would find tapes and clues and then eventually find them spliced up in different ways, it just added more depth to the game, this game was all about chasing one woman who tbh wasn't very interesting anyway. Andrew Ryan definitely had more gravitas.
TBH not a bad game at all, it did manage to move me and evoke different emotions like BS1 but not as well.
IMO BS1 is the better game even with the new gameplay tweaks etc.
Oh and the ending most definitely wasn't bad at all a lot better than BS1
