Only bout 30 mins of so in to the game, but can anyone confirm if this game has annoying respawning splicers like the first did?

Not really they wander about, most of the time hacked security takes them out for you. They dont really respawn much compared to the last and if you thoroughly check each area before progressing you don't run into them again.

Ok sounds much improved, wound me up big time on the first, I'd waste tons of ammo (on hard of course) on loads of splicers and a big daddy, and out of no where (I mean a brick wall) another darn splicer would appear and I'd have to unload more lead on them.

So sounds like it's a lot better this time round.

Haha

I'll be on tonight if either of you are still around, I won't be staying back late tonight that's for sure.

Soulja keeps telling me's sent me mesages on MSN and I never get them, I think his brain has finally given way under the strain of endless Mamma Mia and The Disney Channel.

Oh Toodles!

So when you use the Little Sisters to gather Adam, do you have to fend off enemies everytime?

Basically you have to play the most annoying section of Bioshock 1 on a regular basis in Bioshock 2?

Yes, but 1) it doesn't last that long & 2) i can't remember ever having to fend of hords of attacking Splicers in Bioshock

Then again you don't have to use the Little Sister to gather Adam at all, just harvest her/them from the off ;)

[edit] ah yeah I just remembered, in Bioshock when you escort the little sister, didn't find that part annoying at all, quite the opposite [/edit]

The annoying part is trying not to take damage for the cheevo!

Almost done it twice I will have to reload sections once finished to try to do it.

I'm loving the game compared to the last one, I don't feel like I'm running backwards and forwards over the map getting lost like the first one. The guidance arrow helps a lot too.

Sometimes the controls are a bit clunky, I wish they had made melee a push down on the analogue stick instead of B and the camera (for taking pictures, not the viewpoint)gets on my bits sometimes.

So far I've found Ice to be my best plasmid for quick kills of sisters, daddies and brutes. Anyone found a better combo?

I found that and then gave up trying and got it on my 4th one i think, just plan carefully ;) if you can hold out there is a room in Fontaines Futuristics that the Splicers can only come from one direction (contary to what someone said about Biosock, in 2, Splicers do not Spawn out of nowhere, they always spawn in a room you are not, and then use the door/corridor like everyone else;)) and there is a turret to help out too :D

Agreed

I found Fire and Drill the best combo, just spam both :D

Each to their own. I thought it was pretty repetitive and overly difficult on the harder settings.

I think with Bioshock where most people struggeled was if they tried to use any of the guns against Splicers. On Hard I played through pretty much just using the Wrench (and Electro-Bolt), with the right Tonics it was unbeatable ;) My only complaint about that part would be the view from the BD Helmet :(

The graphics for the helmet can be turned off, first thing I did.

Btw, I am LOVING mini turrets, so powerful and handy, if you put down 4 whilst a little sister is gathering, you hardly have to do anything, if your taking out a big daddy, put 4 or 5 down, fire him and keep spamming shot gun in his face with the mini turrets behind him... Dead in second, also works well for big sis :D
