RE: Moving back through earlier levels.

I've been hoping to collect all the audio diaries on my first pass, but it seems I missed one (Mr Tape Recorder) in the early stage on Atlantic Express and have just progressed to the next level Ryans Amusements. I can't get the train back to AE, and if I go to a previous save at AE then I can't get back down the elevator.
Do these become useable again after the game story is complete?

Just finished it, the ending wasn't that bad to be fair. I took the good path, so will play through again harvesting at some point. Pretty happy with 675 xp on the first play through.

Ok mate will fire up as soon as I get in. I've heard the screams in wyrdo's house. Mostly from him, I think they only beating that goes on in his house is by his kids, to him.

Randal what did you think to the end 'boss' fight though :D A let down or did you not mind doing more of what you have been doing for the last 7 levels ;)
 
Valid point, then again I wasn't expecting much given the villain of the game. I thought Gill Alexander was going to be the boss at one point, then it just carried on with more of the same as you say.

Got a copy of the first one today which I'm looking forward to playing through again, well once I slip the Mrs something in her Valentine's dinner at any rate. She's graced me with 4 uninterrupted hours of play today. Will be pushing it for more whilst she's conscious. :D

no you cant go back, but there are way more than 100 diaries in the game, so don't worry about missing one or two early on ;)

Any way to find out how many diaries you've collected? I could swear black and blue I had found most (if not all) but I never got a trophy.
 
100,000 Adam in multiplayer is going to be a bit of a slog. Especially when you come up against players 10 ranks higher. the level system is **** in this. I destroy people a few levels lower than me but run into a higher level and it's stupid.
 
Curiosity just got the better of me and I went and cross referenced all the Audio Diaries that I've collected with how many I should have and I've missed at least 10 :(

Kinda makes collecting the rest of them in the levels I've still to do a little redundant now :mad:

Sucks that you cant use the train to re explore previous levels :(
 
Currently at Lvl 21 online and I echo what others have said, it's a bit crap when playing people who have all of the better weapons etc. It's a complete spamfest online and I don't think I'll be coming back to it once I reach lvl 40. Any idea which mode is best for ranking up?
 
Finished it last night, 770G on first play through.

I was robbed off the Research Master (20G) achievement :mad: I had everything maxed apart from 'Thuggish Splicer', and apparently you just don't get ANY of those for like the entire latter 2/3rds of the game :mad:

Don't know if I can be bothered to go through it all again just for that achievement :(

You only need 100 of the 124 available. When the 100 achieve popped up I stopped looking for them on the last two sections.

The annoying thing is when you are much lower than the 20's, they hit you with a plasmid that means you cannot see and your chances of killing them are nought because not only can you not see them properly they have a more powerfull gun. Or you come up against someone with the full length shot gun against your sawn off.

They gave the ranking very little thought imo.

Yeah thats a bit annoying, I almost missed one myself but had to reload.
 
Been playing it for about 5-6 hours and just getting to the last part of the game finding Lamb, this game is pretty short considering I've been taking my time aswell.
 
Yeah, I'm upto the MP grind now. However, got to give it credit, I'm enjoying the MP a lot more than I expected. Upto level 15 and its been fun so far.

Needed 2 plays in single player (cos I missed a few of the trophies - didn't use a guide first time).

One thing, the gamma adjust setting at the beginning of the game - made a huge difference to the look of the game - first time round I just skipped it, second play I actually paid attention - huge difference to the overall balance and look.
 
Capture the sister would be excellent if they hadn't added in the daddy at the start. You get 3 minutes and if you work as a team the start of that is wasted taking out the daddy. Even longer if your team is low ranks.

Other than that I like team deathmatch, the territory map would be good if people went for points rather than kills.
