*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

I am chilled out,

I thought initially you guys would like to know they are posting the game out.
I then get asked to prove it with a pic which I did,

then you saying well its a week before the official release date implying I must be making it up.
 
I just want to know his first impressions, especially of the MP side.

Are the maps good? Are the new weapons good and does the balance seem right?
Obviously i'm not expecting a detailed answer with spoilers, just first impressions after the first hour or two.
Basically is it as good as we all hope it is going to be?

Sorry, no, I wasn't implying that. Just a heads up for you as generally it's what the mods ask for if you start talking about it. That's all.

Having only played an hour or so, the MP is simply fabulous, gallons of perks and the maps are stunning.....

Not played SP yet

How long do the rounds last? I read on the PC forum it's like 5 minutes?

Also after the map ends does it just carry on to the next map like MW or does it go back to a lobby?

It goes back to the lobby each time allowing you to vote for the next map.

Time wise not sure, been that busy running round like a headless chicken
 
Gah I'm in two minds, I have a high street pre-order (well reservation, not paid for it yet). Do I wait until midnight on monday and pick that up, or do I take a chance and order a copy online now???

Thanks for the feedback JaseUK,

I know some of us are worried that it just won't live up to the hype, and won't be as good as or as addictive as COD4.

Is there enough difference to make it a worthwhile 'new' experience or is it really just as extension of COD4?

Not that there is anything wrong with the latter its just that I doubt this is going to capture my attention the way that COD4 did.

I really hope i'm wrong!
 
I'm hoping it is going to be immense as this is the first 360 game I have ever pre-order bought at full retail price.

So I want my moneys worth :D

Its too early to say really, and hard to say its an improvement over MW1 because that game was truely immense.

There are a couple of new touches, like a massive choice of emblems you link to your rank which are little avatars that your enemy see's when you kill them, things like your countries flag thru to what class you excel in i.e knife killer etc..

I want to play the game but im quite miffed at having to pay full price which is something i havent done since getting my PS3 like 3years ago pfft.

I have checked his gametag on Mygamercard.net at it displays him as playing MW2..........jammy git:D
 
I'm so hungry for information on this right now!
Without actually being able to play it for another week I really want to know what its like.
