*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

Just called about the three prestige editions we got on order

We were told that they have not shipped any of them yet but they are in hand and packaged ready to leave

My guess is that they will be sent tonight for delivery Friday to accomodate any delays that may or may not happen

For anyone wondering about the prestige editions method of shipping it's parcelforce
 
Mine said sent yesterday with there express delivery so i will see when i get home.
Not really going to play it for a while so not really that bothered
 
For anyone who is thinking they'll get their game this week if they've got an email like this :

Then they wont. This is just an automated email triggered by charging your credit card. They have to start early on big releases to get them all done in time for release day. They haven't been shipped yet :

As I've said before, orders are being processed early to get ready to ship on time. That obviously wouldn't help you get your game on time.
Emails stating your game has dispatched are an automated part of the process, so this may not be the case

Seen an advert for this last night and it looked so damn awesome, even more awesome than the trailers I've seen so far, this tuesday can't come soon enough!!

Hmmm I don't agree personally.
Myself and a couple of mates who ordered from the same retailer have also recieved these e-mails, I don't believe it has anything to do with changing your card.

As others have said, this game is shipping earlier than previous games due to the postal strikes. Also, just because they are using couriers, doesn't mean they are using next day couriers which are significantly more expensive. That's why they are using Parcel Force which has a lead time of a few days, but depending on where you are, you may get it quicker.
