theres been numerous threads but none have been merged ;) so this is just one of many. as for struggling clans with dedi boxes will be loving this news :cool:

there will be a very big audience for this no matter what.
 
It's starting to look like MW3 will basically be DOA for any serious PC multiplayer.

The OcUK forums often serve as a microcosm for the internet's collective interest in a particular title. As posters above are saying, this shows that MW3 is just not going to take off.

A huge storm is brewing on the official forums now about the lack of any confirmation regarding RANKED dedicated servers. I suspect that IW/Sledgehammer worded that update carefully to ensure no rage at a later date and thus forced the cat out of the bag.

I predict a hack fest within 2 months and a dead game within 6 tops.

According to vgchartz.com, BLOPS sold 1.19 million on PC and 0.64 for BC2 (nb, I'm aware those stats are not conclusive). Never under estimate the sheer number of casual gamers, even on PC. The amount of people who will just buy MW3, will more than make up for those who have ''abandoned'' the series.

The best move by Activision was to sweeten the pre-ordering deal by bundling it with COD4. If you registered it and now want to cancel your pre-order after Bowlings announcement, tough!

So Activision did indeed learn from MW2 ;)

ranked doesnt matter on dedis !

all things depending on how admin has set server up can be unlocked so everyone has every gun from the off !

so how everyone cried why unlock stuff just give it us but now everyone rages that servers arnt ranked lol :p it doesnt matter

so basically all of us join you pick whatever combo you want and we play simple with good ping = instant win all round tbh and good idea.

heres the official bit

choosing to play on a Dedicated Server is UnRanked. Meaning unlocks are completely controlled by the Server Admin. They can choose to unlock everything or limit class restrictions to whatever they like to fully customize the experience. You do not have to rank up in Public games to have access to weapons in Dedicated Servers, you have complete control over what is unlocked for you in a Unranked Dedicated Server.

so all the cry zords are totally wrong on it and dedis for clans and so on its great news ! cant wait if its like cod 4 hit reg with 16 new maps and dedis this will be big no matter how hard bf3 fan boys troll ;)

im guessing it will be like promod

youll join server all allowed guns perks and so on will be accessable you pick class and start playing :cool:

you probably can swop as you play aswell ideal really
 
One thing I like if im understand it correctly, is the kill streak system has been tweaked.

You can get kil streaks just by contrubuting to the objective, rather than just kills.

Hopefully should discourage so much camping!

Dedicated servers only on un-ranked games, ranked games will go through the same matchmaking lobbies as MW2 :mad:
