Its amusing reading this then looking at the console forum thread which is full of people drooling at the prospect of another cod game..
Another COD snore-fest. Woo.
Same tired old engine, same gameplay, same £millions of profit.
I can see why they do it, I think I'll stick to something different though. Plenty FPS's in my Steam that need completing first

What a wonderful post. Why not just stick to the BF3 thread instead of filling this one with the same old crap.
And it's equally amusing looking at the BF3 thread seeing people drooling at the thought of another BF game.
Both games have their fans who like the respective games for what they offer, there is no need for an elitest attitude or having digs at people who play COD and are looking forward to it.
Is this even shipping with dedicated server support instead of peer to peer (aka host has the advantage derp) connection ?
That stuff comes a little later. I can’t confirm anything yet, but right now we’re having conversations about dedicated servers, mod tools and post launch support. I can’t give you an answer yet on what will be included. In Modern Warfare 3 we added IWnet, which was all about matchmaking–with the plan to eventually add in dedicated servers. My ideal philosophy on the PC is to have matchmaking for the “mass.” Have matchmaking for the guys who just want to jump in, hit “play game” and start playing. But let’s not lose that dedicated core audience that wants the dedicated server experience. We’re looking at ways to on how to incorporate that into Modern Warfare 3. We’ve been listening a lot to our PC guys who have been very vocal since Modern Warfare 2 about what they want to see come back to our versions of the franchise.
I'll look forward to hopefully another really good single player story like all of the previous Call of Duty games.
That's all CoD games have ever been about for me - not the "oh we'd better have multiplayer" that's tacked onto it.
