Why else do you think they have released so many map packs for Black Ops recently?

They are trying to milk the last successful COD game, MW3 is gonna tank.

I have bought every Call of Duty game ever released on PC, but it is just a shame to see them not taking the series anywhere new, by the looks of the trailer it could easily be just a MW2 add-on pack :/

I was interested to see how MW3 would look up until now, that video is really shocking. They would have been better off doing a mostly CGI trailer with a couple of seconds of ingame footage.

However I won't be surprised when it outsells BF3.

Haha, good point.

Of course people should be allowed to post negative comments. Posting a negative comment, and repeatedly slating the game because you have a vendetta against it are a different things though, and it's easily spotted.

Due to the fact that you only need a crap machine to run it, it probably will outsell it. BF3 being so advanced may be it's downfall.

It really does just look like a MW2 expansion, aside from the new gimmicks and a couple of new weapons i doubt its changed very much at all. Fact is Activision are afraid of letting the devs change it too much as its a money printing franchise. I just hope this one tanks and forces them to re-evaluate their position on the game instead of cranking out a version of the game every year.

I don't think that has too much to do with it.

Id be willing to put money on BF3 outselling MW3 on PC, consoles however MW3 will probably win, and on consoles obviously the argument of machine power is irrelevant.

there is negative comments and then there is just blatant poor speculation.

for example:

this game looks to have no potential, i will wait for reviews before considering it

thats fine and is not provoking a reaction.

this game looks terrible and I will be boycotting it and buying battlefield because battlefield will be loads better

that kind of post is unwarranted.

if you prefer battlefield and are ignoring cod, then go and post in the battlefield thread about it.
if someone has no interest in call of duty, then the only reason they would enter the thread is to cause trouble surely?

It'll win on consoles as it seems that a lot of console cod players are pre-programmed to accept that the only fps worth playing is a call of duty title. Sad really as theyre missing out on a lot of other good games.

Dunno about them but i can only run around the same similarly sized tiny maps with dodgy spawn points, recoiless weaponry and overpowered killstreak callins so many times before it gets old.

I've actually got a few friends who have always been die hard console cod players be swayed away from COD this year. There is only so many times you can feed people the same game before they stop biting.

I wish I felt the same way but I don't. MW2 MP is broken (lobby thing never works despite open NAT) and blops, though it works better is more of the same game anyway. It didn't really add anything new that felt worthwhile. Last decent COD was WAW imo and that only brought the COD4 improvements back into a WW2 genre.

COD4 was the best since COD (original), but I feel the Call of Duty franchise has got a bit stale, so I'm going to skip this one.
