****Official Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 thread****

I know dedicated servers are unranked but how do you select what is unlocked? How would this affect your custom classes? E.g. if grenade launchers were disabled would it just remove it from your weapon or would it stop you from using that class all together? Are stats still tracked?

Well Black Ops runs bad for me with shadows on, MW3 runs perfectly maxed out and on a weaker nvidia card than yours, so something sounds amiss at your end.
 
Don't suppose anyone has a level skip cheat for this?

Just done the Paris mission, had to endure Sandman repeating the same stuck sentence throughout the level "Get that MG down now".

And whilst I got to the end of the level, jumped onto the helicopter to get out of there... the game crashed :mad:

The latest save was quite far back aswell :(

What, an absolute rehash and joke of a 'new game'? I don't understand how you can say BF3 was a massive disappointment and try to claim MW3 is anything but?

I've got both, by the way. Currently playing MW3.

BF3 isn't a patch on BF2. I was expecting it to be at least similar but it isn't. No where near. Therefore disappointed.

MW3 I knew would be the same as MW2 therefore not disappointed.

Capiche?

I'm sorry, but this is the one point i don't get. If you knew it would be the same surely you would be happy to continue playing MW2 and not shell out £40 for this?
I agree with the sentiment of BF3 and MW3 being different and having one for tactical play and one for run and gun, but if you already have one of the other COD games then the run and gun category is already filled.:)

btw i haven't played MW3 yet, but am i right in thinking that dedicated servers are not ranked and so items you unlock can not be used? if so it is lazy, but unwittingly brilliant imo.

Really, In what way? Does your command rose not allow you to say thank you easily enough any more?

I've owned every COD since 2, and every BF since Vietnam. I'm a fanboy of both series in both respects, which is why i bought both BF3 and MW3 no questions asked.

The fact is, if this was released as an expansion pack of sorts for MW2 then i'd be fine with it. It wasn't. It's the laziest excuse for a new release i've honestly ever seen. They've taken steps backwards from major improvements which were made with BLOPS, made things that were actually wrong with MW2 worse and then charged full whack for what feels nothing more than an expansion.

I don't understand how you can say 'oh but i knew it would be the same' and be fine with that? You're quite happy for this game series to go totally and utterly stale and boring, as long as they tell you before hand that they can't be bothered putting any effort into the game?

Honestly, words fail me.

I paid £27 but would have paid £40 had I not been able to get it cheaper. And yeah i'm happy paying it because I wanted the continued SP campaign, the new weapons, new maps, new perks and killstreaks etc.

In truth it does feel like DLC but it's a massive update.
 
wow i played MP last night Perfectly tonight every single game is a total slideshow....

I have no idea what has happened... Its complete lag.. packetloss FPS jumping from 10 to 100... nonstop...

this machine is running bf3 at 50 fps ultra by comparison
