I've owned every COD since 2, and every BF since Vietnam. I'm a fanboy of both series in both respects, which is why i bought both BF3 and MW3 no questions asked.

The fact is, if this was released as an expansion pack of sorts for MW2 then i'd be fine with it. It wasn't. It's the laziest excuse for a new release i've honestly ever seen. They've taken steps backwards from major improvements which were made with BLOPS, made things that were actually wrong with MW2 worse and then charged full whack for what feels nothing more than an expansion.

I don't understand how you can say 'oh but i knew it would be the same' and be fine with that? You're quite happy for this game series to go totally and utterly stale and boring, as long as they tell you before hand that they can't be bothered putting any effort into the game?

I've said before why BF3 is worse than BF2. And why are you surprised that someone actually likes MW3?

It's not the fact that you like MW3, it's the fact that you're just showing utter ingorance with regards to the points that everyone else is making.

About liking MW3? I don't dislike the gameplay, i never once said i disliked it. It's COD. What i do dislike, is what they've done with this release. None of the other games upto now have been this bad for being a total half arsed attempt at getting something out for their November release date.

If you actually enjoy the game series, how can you be contempt with what they've allowed you fork over your cash for? The can't be bothered replying jibe says a lot.

I'm really struggling to play this on my laptop, it plays MW2 flawlessly, just not MW3?

i7-2640M
525M GPU
8GB RAM

It's almost like it's trying to play it on the discreet chip rather than the GPU. I know it's a 525 but is should still be able to play it fine. :(

Police in Aurora, Colo., said a man threatened to shoot Best Buy employees and even blow up the store when a copy of the game he had pre-ordered wasn't available.
Aurora police spokesman Detective Bob Friel says Lomorin Sar was stopped early Tuesday after he left the store and was issued a summons for misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Friel says Sar, 31, was at the store around midnight for a promotion surrounding the release of the PlayStation 3 game.
"[He] threatened to carry out his own version of 'Modern Warfare' at the electronics store. Fortunately, this situation did not end in violence,” Friel told the Aurora Sentinel.

In Branford, Conn., malls reported broken glass, strewn garbage, and even vomit in the parking lot of a local mall where avid gamers waited for a fix of the new game.
"When I got here this morning, I thought I'm going to have a heart attack," Dina Dunn, manager of a local GNC, told The Connecticut Post. "It was like, I was shocked. Tons of garbage all the way through the plaza."
And in Kansas City, Mo., one man wanted a copy of the game badly enough that he was prepared to steal it at gunpoint. Police arrested the teenager Tuesday on charges that he followed a man from a local GameStop, pulled a gun on him and tried to steal his copy of the game.
The would-be robber fled -- but allegedly returned the game, straight into the hands of waiting authorities.

Finished the campaign tonight, very satisfying, certainly playing through again at the weekend.

Tried some MP TDM, seemed pretty fun, got quite high up the score board, will probably play it a bit more but I think I enjoy BF3 MP more.

Opinion is polarised on quick scoping. Some think it's fine, others think it's cheap and we'll just have to agree to disagree. But to say that people who don't like it, only dislike it because they have tried it and can't master it? No, that is just silly :)

Fair do's. Though I never said, "people who don't like it, only dislike it because they have tried it and can't master it." I said, "The only people who **** it can't do it.". Anyone can do it, if they practise enough. I will agree what I said is not factually right, I should have said "Virtually the only". Though you are no exception to what I originally said.

i have had 5 hours of this game.

i think the game play is better than black ops, but they are very similar.

the weapons do not do as much damage as mw2. the maps are big. i think they should have included some of the classics maps from mw2.

i can honestly say that i have not been killed by a tube, maybe because the damage impact is low and you can scavenge them.

i have uninstalled mw2 and black ops and will continue to rank up on mw3.

gonna take a while to learn the maps.
