*****Official Crysis 3 Thread*****

My system should be able to run the game so smooth with really good FPS so im happy and excited, so glad i got into computer gaming, so much better and evan more stunning (graphics wise)

£40 aint evan that expensive, okay fair enough its not cheap and for a game £40 is a lot but in all fairness £40 is worth it think of the time they took into making this game and by the time the price goes down will there be a lot of people still playing it when all new games will be out before its lowered?

Got mine for 27 bucks with release day delivery. Anyway, yes I'm looking forward to this game. Not expecting it to be amazing but it'll be decent. Should do alright on high settings at 1080

Dam the graphics in this game look good. Hope my 7970 can handle it.

What clock you running at?

I've just been playing it on my 7970 Lighting (clock was either 1150/1450 or 1200/1500 - not sure which profile I clicked on prior to booting) and it ran fine.

If anyone wants to unlock it the flyvpn works well.

edit - not tried the SP yet, just been playing the MP.

Finished the SP, got the game free with my 7970.

Clock says 11 hours, but about 3 of those were afk watching the sony livestream last night. Another 30 mins were replaying the same content (Accidentally started recording with fraps and didnt notice until my ssd was full, resulted in my auto saves not loading.)

Puts it at around 7.5 hours, not exactly a completionist run, but with a lot of exploring.

Looks amazing imo, enjoyed the crysis 1 throwbacks.

It looks like it still has that grainly-mottled effect that Crysis 2 had  Like there is a filter on it.

I couldn't find a way to turn it off for C2, and it really took the edge off the graphics. Looks like film grain, only unintentional?

I don't see any grainy filter on those at all

Seen it for £24.54 with a 5% off for liking their store on facebook, which is cheap, but not sure if I dare order from the site, never used them before..

cdkeysdiscount.com anyone ever used them before, cheapest I could find Crysis 3 for release day, they send the key via email and you download from origin..

Lol, he's talking about those "dust particles" that are in BF 3 also and intend to represent how a image taken by a real camera would look like if the lens weren't clean. Annoying, but some devs choose to use them.

There is also a Chromatic Aberration filter built in, but fortunately that one can be disabled.

Well your character has a visor on so makes sense in one respect :)

So Crysis 3 is practically identical to Crysis 2, not an insult because I love Crysis but I hear some pretty severe optimization issues with 3. Now when you consider the fact, that it is basically a copy and paste of Crysis 2, which after a lot of patches has been tweaked to run pretty much optimally across most hardware, how the hell do they blunder Crysis 3 and turn it into a poor port yet again? That's like learning how to tie your shoe laces and then becoming completely confused when you get a new pair of shoes. :o

He should also carry some eyeglass wiping cloth. :D
It's nice effect when someone shoots near you and a cloud of dust or particles goes towards the avatar's face, but it should fade away after a short while. Just like rain drops do. That uber-super-duper costume should have a method of auto cleaning visor, should it not?
